a squeegee (no, really!)
Yeah that’s actually the answer. I just wanted to see what other people suggested.

Look I don’t know how it works either. But drag a dry squeegee across a couch full of cat hair with some pressure, it’ll pull all of it out and make it look good as new.
Oh, I just remembered I have a silicone brush and mop set I have lying around that does the same thing.
