  Lemmy has generally had several kicks of revivnig old memes and old meme formats. A few months ago folks were doing the beans thing from several years ago, I’ve seen folks trying to bring advice animals and demotivational posters back, etc.

        Are you conflating Osama Bin Laden with Saddam Hussein, for whom as summarized by wikipedia:

        In 2003, a US-led coalition invaded Iraq, falsely accusing him of developing weapons of mass destruction and of having ties with al-Qaeda.

        Dafaq? Saddam had nothing to do with it, and a vast majority of the world knew that at the time. That’s why the bullshit WMD story was circulated as an excuse to attack, and still most of the world was dubious at best.
