It’s just a meme because white people can barely handle salt and pepper, I’ve never had an issue with taco bell but then again I rarely eat from fast food Mexican places when the real stuff is readily available

Is Taco Bell way worse in the US compared to Canada? I've never gotten sick from it here

Taco bell’s kitchen is reliably cleaner and safer than most other fast food chains wrt cross contamination, so if we’re on a road trip and don’t have long to choose a place to eat, they can be an easy default. Not as good as a taco truck, usually more expensive, but taco trucks move and I don’t want to have to drive all over a town I don’t know to find a taco truck.

Canada has stricter rules, and higher standards. I still feel like McDonalds is the worst fast food in Canada, compared to every other place that sells burgers.

Same, and I’m in the state where it was founded, so I doubt it. It’s more just a running joke because it’s low quality pseudo-Mexican food.

I’ve never gotten sick from there either in the US but i also typically eat the good local Mexican food instead. I think it’s just become an internet thing
