- Comment on Beko deliberately conceals error codes and repair info from consumers -- is that common? Google is the repair video gatekeeper. PCB has TX/RX port -- what is that? 1 year ago: A usb to rs232 flying lead, 5V cable like [this one](https://ftdichip.com/products/usb-rs232-we-1800-bt_5-0/). Ive bought that one from DigiKey, then added mating connector for a work project. Since you just need temporary, could also just do a quick hack instead of connector and just put the connector’s pin and wire lead overlapping and a heat shrink to hold them together, for each wire/pin. Then you can talk to the board via serial and send a command

I don’t know much about flipper zero but that’s one hacking device that’s possible but like $170 so other options cheaper but flipper might be easiest to use?

Can buy a usb to serial cable and connect to a PC and talk to it that way (might have to hack together the right connector or even down to individual wires if it’s screw terminals in the pcb. There’s usb to rs232 that’s just wires no 2nd connector). Can then send / receive serial commands / data to the pcb and . These serial ports are usually left only for debugging or flashing new firmware etc. The commands and returned data will be in ASCII hexadecimal or something and you’ll need to know which means which from a manual or guide but there’s possibly some common ones that might work if can’t. There’s websites that have old manuals. I found one for my fridge that’s 20 years old Add pic of that area of the pcb
