That’s cross-posting. They’re adding something to the community. What are you doing, exactly?
Spamming involves posting the same link or mesaage over and over again in multiple different places.
So what exactly is this then :
Hmmm…?

So you’re still maintaining that propaganda doesn’t exist?
It’s not a newsbot just posting articles as they come out. It’s not a person reading articles and sharing interesting content.
It’s a person spamming pre-selected articles without even reading them. Thus they’re not adding anything, because they don’t even understand what the thing is they’re posting. They’re spamming.
If it was a person who posted the things he read, it would be different. But it’s not. It’s clearly spam with an agenda, and again, if you can’t see it, I can’t help you. Perhaps try taking some media literacy courses?
Then again, to be honest, I think you completely understand my point and this is the same age old tired bad faith bullshit.

This isn’t even mental gymnastics, it’s mental parkour. You’re just jumping all over the place, ain’t ya?

Anyone can post with an agenda, if they want to. We all have an agenda of some kind. Just like you do, against this one person with whom you’ve taken umbrage.

The childish avoidance was quite charming the first year or two, but now it’s getting just kinda tiresome.
“Oh Russian propaganda? No but everyone has an agenda, so Russian propaganda is nothing more than than that!”
See before; “this is the rhetorical equivalent of fighting 5-year olds”

That’s called cross posting, it’s an incredibly widespread practice, and it’s a common courtesy to share content between multiple applicable communities where there may be different people to see it.

But me commenting on three cross-posted posts about how this guy is spamming, that’s spam. But his posts, which far outnumber my comments, are not spam, but my criticism of his spam is?
No need to follow anyone around. You never browse new? He spams his links, so they appear at the exact same time. He doesn’t read the things he posts, he spams. Just because you’re having a tantrum, stomping your foot and pretending he isn’t, that doesn’t change reality.
Honestly, how do you manage such cognitive dissonance?
Stovetop@lemmy.world 20 hours ago
Let me be clear:
Everything you are talking about is not an OP problem. It’s also everyone else in this thread’s problem despite your insistence that it should be.
This is a you problem, and the easiest way to fix it is if you do what literally everyone else here is recommending: block them and move on.
Dasus@lemmy.world 20 hours ago
Hey if you’re bothered, you can just block me. ;>
You don’t think disinformation online is everyone’s problem?
Or are you gonna hope that by having ignored the questions in the last comment about you maintain your extraordinary cognitive dissonance, I’m gonna accept the implication that it isn’t spam?
If you’re getting so upset online, maybe take a break from it?
