Yeah, those nights are so few and far between anymore. And I always just tell people, how is this night different than the hundreds of thousands of other nights between 2008 and 2020?

I used to party a lot (too much) when I was younger. Every damn weekend I was “on the go”. Now I don’t want to go anywhere. Now if I want to “party”, I drink beer at home, listen to music and maybe play some video games.

Zombie fire, sharknadoes, and environmental contaminants. The ice agents lynching people. The air of desperare hopeless no-future abandon that really takes a party up to 11.

This is me. Lol.
I remember in COVID enjoying beer and whisky while roaming around the witcher 3. What an adventure. It was my first playthrough and I had all the expansions.

You should totally invite friends over for the video games.

Omg, too real. My reaction speed is consistently 60+ ms above theirs so they beat me on reflex alone.

Everything is online now, so inviting friends over us counter-intuitive.
I’m just old enough to have fond memories of Xbox LAN parties, multiCube Double Dash, and Zelda: Four Swords.
…well, maybe not so fond on 4 swords, I think I still have Fire Rod PTSD.
