viking@infosec.pub 3 days agoNah, it’s the right thing to do. While the law was initially put in place to control nazi flags and other extremist display, using it to take down banners of banned terror organisations is justified.
Or how would you feel if your neighbor started flying an ISIS flag, for example?

It would be right to use it against ISIS, but Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis are only considered “terrorists” for political reasons. All three are actually justified and good.
Flying their flags is illegal not because it is wrong or immoral but because it opposes British foreign policy.

As we are seeing in Germany these kind of laws are extremely easy to abuse. I am not saying flying ISIS or a Nazi flag is ok, but having these laws in place maybe does more harm than good.
