- Comment on What's your opinion on Ubiquiti/Unifi gear? 1 week ago:
My biggest gripe with them is consistency. They release products without all the features they promise. They have been known to just abandon entire lines (I’m still salty about their mFi gear).
I like my UDM pro however the SE came out and for almost a year they basically ignored the Pro.
Good hardware that’s usually made or broken by their software.
- Comment on Consumer hardware is no longer a priority for manufacturers 1 week ago:
Consumer sales are very very trackable. Off channel bulk sales can be very hard to verify and I’m sure that’s not being used to prop up valuation. Not at all.
- Comment on Bethesda x Nintendo Switch™ 2 — Oblivion, Fallout 4, and Indiana Jones Coming to Switch 2 1 week ago:
A buddy gifted me og Skyrim and we played a ton. Fast forward and well OG still has the helicopter intro problem, I’ve got a deck and new computer and we wanna play again. This time i buy him the remaster/whatever and we play again a ton.
Am I happy about owning it twice? No. Was it woth the 2x20 bucks in the end? Yeah we played a ton more.

Import lists for adding the artist. You can see it to only monitor the specific album of that track. You can also mass import all your followed artists.

We’ve taken all the blame and put it on AI like it’s acting independently and appeared out of nowhere. This is global collusion to fuck the customers everywhere. It’s people doing this.

- Comment on The dominoes are falling: motherboard sales down 50% as PC enthusiasts are put off by stinking memory prices 1 month ago:
These companies have been found guilty of collusion in other markets (lcd panels anyone?) so what you are saying while factually correct, is in fact because of the failure to address the post collusion market. A fine is paid and then business as usual. It’s like a chicken vs egg argument except instead of just recognizing it doesn’t matter and regulate a market properly we use it as perfect justification for doing nothing.

Or gpu prices or hdd/ssd prices that never recovered from the tsunami. Consumers just keep getting fucked.

Fyi my TVs all have 100mbit ports and I stream 4k content all the time. Larger files (LOTR 50gbish) can take a while to pre load when direct streaming but once they start it’s smooth and i can seek instantly.

- Comment on Nvidia plans heavy cuts to GPU supply in early 2026 1 month ago:
You can’t sustain it because it’s unsustainable. It’s exponentially inefficient. This isn’t like the US auto industry where labor negotiations blah blah blah. This is a black hole that is disappearing everything it touches. Brand loyalty, human rights, natural resources, political stability.

Age the bread in black contractor bags. Have someone yell at you if you take to long ordering. If you wanna recreate the downtown Rochester one bring a shotgun and let off a few rounds as well.

- Comment on HomeLab & Selfhosting Books 1 month ago:
I think my issue was that the shelves are just number based so remaking a shelf isn’t the same as the original. Def operator error. Sync still worked fine it just removed books from the shelf but stayed on the device.

I use calibre to organize them i dump them into calibre-web. From there we make shelves (my wife and I) and sync with our Kobos.
