    I mean even if they are, the software is open source and lemmy is made to work with ActivityPup, an open protocol. That is what matters at the end of the day.

      This is what’s insane to me.

      Option 1: locked software owned by billionaires who can control the narrative and remove anything they don’t like

      Option 2: open-source software anybody can use, coded by people with extreme opinions

      It’s pretty clear which one is superior
