What is the first movie in that list? It looks like Noah Wylie but I can’t make it out.

My Reddit account was 19 years old before I was permabanned by their stupid AI for liking Luigi pics and saying I wish Trump wouldn’t wake up in response to a pic of him napping 😔

When I was in high school, a girl called me at home and this dumb conversation happened.
Her: So, this girl I know likes this guy I know, but he doesn’t seem to get any of her hints. What should she do to tell him she likes him?
Me: uh, I dunno, just tell him she likes him?
Her: …like, “I like you?” Just like that?
Me: yeah
Her: I like you.
Me: yeah, you got it, just tell her to tell him that and she’ll be all set.
Her: …
Me: …was there anything else
—— The first girlfriend I had (not her) pulled me aside angrily in the hallway between classes and said something like “listen, I’ve been hitting on you for two weeks now and everyone else things we get along like gangbusters, I’m going insane; do you wanna go out with me or not?” —— Anyways, I learned a few years ago I’m on the spectrum and it really helped give a lot of context for me and my dumbass.

It’s fun to think up thought experiments that explain away the reasons we can’t prove they exist.
Time isn’t linear, we’re just limited to experiencing it that way while we’re alive.
After we die, we experience time differently; in an impossible-to-describe way, but is akin to a book with limitless pages. Your existence is a bookmark in this book, and dying makes you lose your place.
It is possible to re-find your place, but with unfathomable access to unfathomable histories and futures, there is a near-infinite choice of other events and timelines for a ghost to visit and observe and experience.
Coupled with that, there are laws— some sort of physical laws, not arbitrary— to visiting the pages of this book, in that they can only be done in areas that do not cause pages before or after to change dramatically. A ghost is a spec of ink on the page; it cannot write letters, words, or sentences. If anything like this were ever done, we would never know as our minds would simply accept the memory as fact without knowing, or delete the memory of a ghost the way we space out driving on a highway or having to look at our watch a second time.
Lastly, our senses are all on varying spectrums; some of us able to see, hear, smell, experience things others cannot. One of our senses is a sense of time. Some people’s sense of time operates on a scope of a wider caliber than others, experiencing things others cannot, which is why some of us may have experienced ghosts while others haven’t.

I think it was a Reddit scraper years ago that taught me that I should probably lie more often on the internet about my work, friends, family details, etc.
Just like, little lies that don’t really matter in the comment, but would misdirect an AI or investigator into things that aren’t true.
It’s just so much woooooork to think about this shit. And to come up with different screen names everywhere? And to like, sub to a city I don’t live in and comment there about shit I know nothing about? Exhausting.

sadly I’ll likely support them through any shitty decisions they make as they are the only viable non-chromium alternative these days.
I get they’re chasing the buck and trying to stay relevant, but uhhhh… if they could be less Steve Buscemi-teen about it, that’d be great.

Everyone in that ad killed it and I’m always curious about the writer of it (and any other similarly clever ad) if they’re still in marketing where their talents are wasted.

I know I can Google it, but uhhhhh I’m lazy and wanna help drive Lemmy engagement:
Wasn’t there a multiplayer Resident Evil game wherein you could get bit and become a zombie? But like… it was ahead of its time kinda because you needed 4(?)+ PlayStations on a LAN to play it?
I remember it looked fun, and iirc reviews said it was fun, but they gave it low reviews ‘cause of the hardware hurdle.
Anyways… did anyone ever mod that into a playable, non-LAN experience one can enjoy from their PCs? If so… I’d totally put up a game date on here for that.
I might go search for my own answer and edit it into this if my phone doesn’t die.

My ~19 year old account was permabanned after three strikes that involved two upvotes of Luigi pictures and then— after seeing a vid of Trump falling asleep— saying he shouldn’t wake up.
Then my alt got a warning for “disparaging communities” after I said one of the two PDX subreddits started so they could talk shit about houseless people, which is a fact.
Three of those were flagged by AI, the last one— the warning— was a person flagging it and couldn’t be contested.
It’s gone to the dogs.
