The rise of conspicuous nationalism - and I’m intentionally calling it nationalism, not patriotism - in the US had been a disgusting thing to witness over the last 2.5 decades, as a resident.

Sad it’s coming to this, but the flag pin was at one point or another leading to this kind of stuff. I wish this would have just led to bigger and bigger pins to show that people are more patriotic than their opponent.

Even as a kid I hated patriotism
To me I only saw it as a blind following. My parents disagreed of course
Now I’m older and I realize my parents are idiots when it comes to this and low key Trump supporters
