      Unfortunately they are more Stalinist/Maoist than Marxist.

      I’m Marxist myself and think that they are authoritarian scumbags over at ML.

        Exactly. I was quite pleased to see, when I first joined Lemmy, that there were people that were into Marxism.

        Only to discover their adoration of Stalin and other autocrat dictators. What an utterly weird take on Marxism that is.

        I mean, the .ml domain stands for the country Mali normally, but I don’t think an instance like lemmygrad.ml is in Mali (and they also lack subtlety, per their name).

      Thanks, that helps me understand the context a bit more than just their political perspective. I’m no tankie, but I take much bigger issue with the censorship of dissent than with their tankie status in-and-of itself

    I’ve had more comments deleted and nonsensical bans from ml than I have my entire time in social media. It’s crazy, they are a hard core echo chamber running on a power trip.
