Seems to me like this could be modified to mount a laser pointer to point directly into the lens without having to stand in front of the camera to aim it.

I wonder if you could design these to basically 3d a frame and then attach cardboard , price of fabric, on the front. or something.
to reduce the filament use and print time.
This is kind of a big print. Good idea though.
