Linux, yes. GrapheneOS requires you to pay the piper. You have to buy a Google phone (i.e. pay iPhone 17 Pro money for an iPhone 11-powered phone), so Google already double dipped. You’re just preventing them from triple dipping by selling your data. You still have to contribute to their bullshit.
They are coming out with Motorola phones that run GrapheneOS. Word is, they won’t be cheap.
I’m curious about Linux. I’m hearing you can install it on any Android phone without root, but I fear I may be seeing AI slop in my YouTube feed. I don’t trust it.

Sue them for what? Being lying liars with pants on fire?

They have closed source code, so nobody besides Apple’s engineers and programmers can verify those claims. And since they work for Apple they have an inherent bias.
Since their claims cannot be independently verified, we cannot take their claims at face value. It doesn’t prove they’re lying, but it also doesn’t prove that they’re telling the truth. All people know is what their marketing department puts out.
But if that’s enough for you to believe that they respect privacy, then I have a bridge to sell you as well…

Engineers leave. Sometimes on bad terms where they have a strong desire to hurt their former employer.
