Calories in calories out is one of those things that’s technically true but useless. Fast food is designed to be morish and addictive and is very calorie dense as others have said. So technically 3000 calories is 3000 calories no matter where it comes from but if you’re actually interested in your health and losing weight the specific food you eat is going to make a huge difference to your ability to actually succeed long term.
But yeah, calories in calories out. That doesn’t mean all food is the same.

I’d recommend Into the Night if you’re interested in a show exploring the reverse concept. No idea about the scientific possibility though.

- Comment on steam vs gog, which game store to buy from? 3 months ago:
I used to prioritise GoG but now I just use Steam for the Linux support personally. If that’s not important to you it mostly comes down to whether you mind the inconvenience of multiple stores.

Oh yes that is what I meant. Edited for clarity.
- Comment on Valve dev counters calls to scrap Steam AI disclosures, says it's a "technology relying on cultural laundering, IP infringement, and slopification" 3 months ago:
The ethics and utility (or lack thereof) of AI is an important discussion in it’s own right. In terms of Steam though, I really don’t think it’s relevant. Players want it, that’s it, that’s all that should really matter. Am I missing some nuance here?
