What are your bed temps for PLA and ASA? Does it still happen if you preheat the bed? If you rotate the print, does the rough spot follow the rotation?

“fill angle” under infill settings.
- Comment on What Relative Humidity do you keep for your PLA and how do you achieve that. 8 months ago:
Yep. I can get ASA down to 12% with an ambient 50%RH using that method.
There are some models out there for wedges with reverse Bowden fittings so you can keep it cracked open all the time.

Try running your dryer with the lid propped open a bit. Most Sunlu dryers don’t have a way to get rid of the humid air pulled out of the filament.

If Waffle Squarf served us Sandbliches but they were not glistening, it would have been enough.
- Comment on Do Huawei phones have a secret backdoor that the Chinese government can access? 10 months ago:
It’s not known to be a backdoor, but it’s a juicy attack surface that customers are largely ignorant of and provides little consumer benefit. If I were an NSA employee and my boss handed me a blank check to develop a preboot exploit for Intel PCs, I’d start with IME.

- Comment on What is the thing that resembles a camera shoe under the handset holder found on telephones with a handset used for? 11 months ago:
20 years ago the pocketable digital cameras that took over the consumer market didn’t have hot shoes. 30 years ago the compact point and shoot viewfinders that were the weapon of choice for vacationing didn’t have hot shoes. Today neither are relevant and are all outclassed by smartphones, and there is hardly a consumer camera market.
- Comment on What is the thing that resembles a camera shoe under the handset holder found on telephones with a handset used for? 11 months ago:
The intersection of people who aren’t five figures into photography and know what a hot shoe is, and people who recognize a wall mount phone trend old.

You know what, Madred, if you want me to see five lights, like your pretty boy over there, Brian, why don’t you just make them five lights?

- Comment on Use Cases And Value Proposition Of eFPGA (Embedded FPGA) 1 year ago:
This makes sense only if you’re rolling your own silicon, and it depends on the application. I could see this as an alternative to a scalar DSP core or to provide more flexible high speed interfaces. The unspoken cost is going to be adding another proprietary set of tooling in the BSP for your chip.
