I’m sure Google contactless payment works really well when the phone is dead. Or you drop your phone in a toilet or off a bridge. It’s far easier to loose a phone than a card in a wallet in your pocket. If you lose your phone, you also lose access to all your money.

At the price of the Pixel 8a, I would suggest getting the Pixel 8 instead.

That isn’t lazy, that’s efficiency. Wireless charging itself however is not efficient.
- Comment on Microsoft has gone too far: including a Game Pass ad in the Settings app ushers in a whole new age of ridiculous over-advertising 4 months ago:
I love to hear it. Linux has done pretty much everything I’ve needed it to to and it’s great to see a lot of programs are available for Linux natively.

I switched to Linux Mint Debian edition when the Reddit thing happened. I’m glad I did before Windows got this bad.

I had quit in October of that year because I found a much better job that I ended up working at for 11 years. In those few short months though it was wild all the things that happened in that store. That store was in a mall and it didn’t last a year after I quit. They had a going out of business sale and I got a ton of arduino stuff for 75% off.

I’m single because I don’t have time to be in a relationship. I barely have time to take care of myself.

- Comment on Marvels Rivals requires creators to sign a contract that removes your right to give a negative review to access the playtest 6 months ago:
It’s one of the reasons that nobody says anything bad about the product that their sponsor provided to them. Either that or people don’t want to ruin their relationship with their sponsors so they will talk highly of a product even if it isn’t good.
- Comment on Streaming is cable now | Seventeen years after Netflix and Hulu kicked off a streaming revolution, it’s looking more like cable than ever. 6 months ago:
I went from cable to satellite in 2008 and then went strictly streaming in 2010. I’ve had Disney + and Netflix off and on over the years but I’ve found that I don’t need any of them. There are plenty of things to watch for free elsewhere and plenty of other things to do than watch shows that will be canceled after the first season.
