- Comment on What do office workers actually do? 6 hours ago:
Getting emails faster than you can read and respond to them, and they are all urgent exceptions.
Meetings that could have been emails, wasting your time while the real emails continue to stack up.
Askng important questions (via email) and getting ignored, or only some of the questions addressed.
Visits from the newest suit talking about how great their new ideas will be, just like the last one who said the same thing and was replaced after 6 months.
It is a lot like the movie Office Space, except in current times instead of one job you’re doing the work of 2.5 people and making less than Peter did in 1999.

Great post/format. It feels like I’m a kid reading the gaming news magazines at the grocery store again.
I’ve been playing Ori and the Will of the Wisps. I like it and the changes they made since Blind Forest, but I’m also feeling frustrated by repeatedly getting lost, even with quest markers. It’s tiring to waste so much time traversing the map just to find out I have to go back… somewhere else. Never had this problem when playing Blind Forest.

- Comment on Every time you eat, you're trusting many strangers to not have tampered with your food 1 week ago:
Cooking food generally makes it safe to eat. If you are the only person handling it between cooking it and eating it you’re probably ok. But in a restaurant or something, it could be tampered with during that time, or it could be old and kept warm at a temperature that isn’t high enough to kill bacteria.
- Comment on What efforts would it take to strip the name Americans from the folks inhabiting the US? 2 weeks ago:
I am thinking how it unjustly hurts people from the rest of the American continent.
Here in Canada, we call people from the USA “Americans”. There’s no confusion, and if you called a Canadian “American” they would correct you immediately. If you explained you meant it in reference to the continent of North America they would still insist that you don’t. It may be technically correct, but it would be frowned upon. We appreciate your consideration, but the word is firmly their word, at least to us. “North American” would be fine, though.

It absolutely brought me back to the late 90s shooters I grew up with. Lots of fun, but there were also a lot of parts I got stuck on, too. I will need some time before I play again / consider the BM version - maybe after HL2. Thanks for the additional info.

Sad music is the best. Deftones are way more horny than angry.

I just finished my first playthrough of Half-Life and wish I had known about this alternate version, it looks great. Thanks for the write up.

This. I’m afraid to provide examples in case OP wants to train an AI model on artists I admire, or something.

Unfortunately not. Is it only available on the 3DS?
- Comment on Your all-time favorite game? Let's discuss the best options! 5 weeks ago:
It’s easily The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
It has everything I could ask for in a game: Sword fighting. Magic. Secrets. Dungeon crawling. An alternate dimension. Side quests. Different tools and items. There’s enough content that it feels fulfilling to complete it.
- Comment on is telling an employee how he has to speak micromanaging? Is it toxic? 1 month ago:
I haven’t seen the show. From the context you provided and assuming good faith from both parties, it sounds like a skill issue on both their parts.
Don’t understand words? Ask for clarification during the conversation, not after the fact in a performance review.
Audience doesn’t understand your words? If the audience tells you they don’t understand, take that feedback and try to communicate more effectively.
It’s not fair to judge if this is micromanaging or toxic based on the first discussion about it. It depends on how both parties behave and choose to cooperate now that the issue has been raised. Knowing whatever history these characters have and the tone of the scene might paint a better picture of their intentions.

Keep a lint brush in the main rooms of your home. One for the couch and living room, one for the bed and clothes when getting dressed. I find they are a lot more effective than a vacuum, and less of a chore to reach for frequently.
- Comment on In the era of remakes and remasters, what niche game would you like to see receive the treatment? 5 months ago:
That sounds awesome. I’m imagining it in the style of Dark Souls, but a reskin would be fun.

Obligatory Bloodborne mention.
Not sure if it’s been done already, but Zelda LttP would be cool. I haven’t played Echoes of Wisdom though I like the art style and could see it working well.

- Comment on What happened to the turn based RPG and RTS genres? 6 months ago:
There’s a turn-based RPG sale/event happening on Steam right now. I can’t vouch for any of those games, but new ones do exist.
As for why they seem to have declined in popularity I can only guess - smartphones happened, removing the need for a home computer from many would-be RTS gamers.
- Comment on Why do Counterstrike and the other top 10 games on Steam NEVER change? 6 months ago:
It’s free to play, there’s a huge market for skins, and some gambling addiction to go with it. The perfect storm.
