Just a wild guess, but maybe it got rate limited by GitHub?
- Comment on Discord promise they won't force everybody to do a face scan following outrage at new age verification policy 2 weeks ago:
What they mean by this headline:
- If you don’t access “unsafe” material (currently meaning NSFW channels, blurred images, DMs from non-friends) nothing is changing in how you use Discord. Though there are some rumours about a “smart filter” that further restricts content in channels.
- If you want to access any of the above, Discord first tries to “guesstimate” your age based on "data they already collect"
- If that doesn’t work/has too low of a confidence, they ask you to verify your age via selfie or ID. Thsy claim Discord doesn’t get access to your ID, only the age on it, but it is most likely still uploaded to the service that does the checking.
TLDR: the headline is crap, and the same verification already present in UK and Australia is being rolled out to everyone.

- Comment on Fight Chat Control: The EU (still) wants to scan your private messages and photos 6 months ago:
Good luck detecting that with any kind of client-side anti-cheat.
The game will now only play on a “secure” display, and the anti-cheat has privileges to monitor the entire chain from the GPU to the display. Non-conforming monitors or devices in the middle break the chain of trust and the game refuses to play.
And then cheaters will shift to a camera pointed at the screen…
Client-side anti cheat is an endless cat-and-mouse game.

Meta literally torrented 82TB of books to train their AI. Why would torrenting movies to train AI be different?
- Comment on Oh really? 8 months ago:
lots of styles like to open a chapter on the same side, so if the previous chapter is one page short, you pad it.

I am no expert, but I think it depends on how present those are in the training data. If you have barely any representation, I wouldn’t be surprised if the LLM thinks it is ome if the parent languages instead.

Perhaps adjacent/lower apartments are heated and are leaking enough heat to you.
