- Comment on Switch 2 demand appears to be flagging as Nintendo reportedly lowers production 6 days ago:
Why would I spend that much for a system only to play the same games I’ve already played on five other fucking systems? If you look at all the games you can play on switch 2 right now nearly all of them are from previous generation consoles.
And if that’s not bad enough, they charge full fucking price for the remakes too. You want to play a game that came out 15 years ago on the Wii? Well get ready to pay 60 fucking dollars for the privilege of paying for the same game for the third time.
Oh but you wanted to play in 4K? Cough up another $10 or $20 for the switch 2 upgrade.
Nintendo is smoking some serious fucking crack when it comes to the pricing of their shit.
Fuck all that. Get a steam deck or similar machine that can also play PC games and can emulate anything from the switch one or Wii U.
I recently almost purchased a switch 2, but after seeing the pricing structures and the lack of new original titles, I said no. I’m currently playing breath of the wild in the Cemu emulator at 4K with all the bells and whistles including surround sound using the gaming laptop that I purchased 2 years ago. Game plays flawlessly and fully supports my dual sense controller that I already own. Saved myself a ton of money.

Well, at least they won’t be complaining about not being able to sell their crops for a while.
- Comment on Sony fighting $2.7 billion UK lawsuit over PlayStation Store prices 2 weeks ago:
Holy shit! I take it these lawyers have never seen the Nintendo store. Talk about insane pricing. $60-$70 for a game that was remade from a previous generation console?
$10-$20 for a Switch 2 upgrade to play the game made for the hardware that you purchased? At least Sony gives most of these upgrades for free.
As bad as you might think Sony is, Nintendo is way worse.

Except for games that use kernel level anti-cheat.
- Comment on Windows 12 release date in 2026 possible, with AI features that may force CPU upgrades 3 weeks ago:
I guess I’m no longer ever going to play a video game that runs on Windows. At some point game developers need to realize that Linux is the future of gaming if Windows keeps pulling this shit.

Not the Dell one, not worth your time or money - only has Intel N-series processor. But the ASUS one may have better internals.
- Comment on Windows 11 Notepad to support Markdown 4 weeks ago:
And take even longer to launch than it already does. I restore the classic Paint, Notepad and Snipping Tool from Windows 10 on my Windows 11 machines because they launch instantly and don’t have AI slop baked into them. You can uninstall the “new” versions of these apps that come with Windows 11.

So they’re going to turn everybody into teenagers. Last I checked, teenagers can’t buy things like nitro right? Doesn’t that completely fuck up their own business model?

The only viable alternatives are Stoat or Steam Chat. Teamspeak is still dragging their feet when it comes to modern feature support.

- Comment on Notepad++ Hijacked by State-Sponsored Hackers 1 month ago:
I don’t think you’ll need to uninstall. If I’m reading the article correctly, it looks like they plugged the hole in their update process by switching hosting providers to one that’s even more hardened and secure. So requests from the updater should go to the correct place now and not the state-sponsored hacker.
Then in about a month, the next version of notepad++ that is released will also properly validate/verify any downloaded update files from the server.
