The tech isn’t there yet.
Yet.
I’m not sure LLMs can really handle that level of complexity, including graphical assets and all that crap.
Plus, it needs the seed of creativity that brings something fresh that isn’t going to come from an “AI” that regurgitates everything.
Slop will remain slop. I’m not sure LLMs are a pathway to a Trek-esque post-scarcity lifestyle some of these tech bros are dreaming of, but they’re interesting none-the-less.

Southern US.
I was kid at the time it originally aired in America.
I agree, its <Color> Ranger, or as a group, The Power Rangers.

Generally your taste in musics sets in during your adolescent years.
What were you listening to, driving around late at night after the first one of your friends got their license?
That the type of music you’re going to fall back on when you got nothing else to listen to.
And if you’re in the metal scene, at least in the early to late 2000s… No part of rap/hip-hop/similar were allowed. No dance music. No pop music. It was the south, so there was some country mixed in that was allowed - old school Willy type shit, the outlaw legends at house parties. Everyone was trying to out-brvtal each other or some stupid shit though.
I got out of the scene because I left that social circle behind after starting a career, but kept a few close friends. They faded over time.
Working nightshift at a hospital does not bode well for your social life. You’re at work when everyone else is in the pit drunk off their asses.
I worked alone so I listened to my old shit, and eventually got tired of it. Eminem dropped a surprise album, and I liked some of his stuff (like I also like trance stuff for concentration, like work) and started listening, and I’m a former percussionist so I started drumming along in the air, and realized… man hip-hop drum grooves are chill, laidd back, flow, get people moving. Fuck yeah. Then I dove deeper. Ended up getting into some underground crap, and I’m still exploring going back to the 2000s stuff that was popular and I heard “around” in the world. I dig some of it too without the egotistical guitar soloists who just want to musically jerk off in front of everyone influencing everyone with their snobby bull shit. Yeah, snobby metal heads exist. Their title is probably “lead” something in the band.

I overdosed on nicotine by accident.
I had a bottle of liquid from my refillable vape in my pocket that came open. Yes, it will go through the skin into your system.
ODing on nicotine, at least at the level I did lead to strong anxiety, heart palpitations, tachycardia, and projectile vomiting.
Also, I had a seizure after I finished dying outside and walked into work for my minimum wage job, right in the entry way.
I am epileptic though, so I’m not entirely sure if that related - as I was undiagnosed and untreated at the time. Making minimum wage with no medical benefits, choosing healthcare is a difficult decision over food and a roof.

No no, I get it.
I do my best not to bother with form.
I just make shit work.
If you wanna pretty up my scripts for some sort of distribution, go for it.
But I’m done with it after that. That’s the companies problem now.
- Comment on 7 year old PC. CPU is getting WICKED hot (up to 100 C) while playing games. is there any software that can underclock/undervolt it? 2 weeks ago:
Had something similar, but for a GPU. Also corsair.
Yeah, the tubing on the AIO failed and fried the GPU.
I went back to air cooling after that, just with a lot more focus (from me) on airflow, orientation, etc.
Plus, the high end air cooling stuff is good. Like, in the 90s (decade) we dreamed of cooling that good with air, and then water cooling came along. I just never cared for the concept of water running inside my electronics.
Now if I could get that super expensive crap from 3M that isn’t conductive and has similar thermal capacities to water, and run that through a water cooling system, I’d be fine with it. Its just prohibitively expensive.

At a LAN party (yes I’m that old) a dude came in with a box fan ziptied to the side, like it was a case side.
I didn’t think to ask about orientation though. As in, push or pull for airflow.
Whatever, it worked for him.

Don’t be self conscious, be self aware .
If your wedding tackle has shifted at all during your swim, may be try to get out away from the others a bit, not a creepy amount, but like… Be on one end of the group, turn away slightly when transitioning from water to land, place your hands “casually” in a way to cover yourself without drawing attention, all sorts of little tricks you’ll internalize before you know it, but it starts with being self aware.

Yeah, and if you get out of the water and have a “flattering” outline in your shorts, its suddenly becomes a much larger issue being the only adult male, and with children around… eesh.
- Comment on How do Vampires know they are immortal without first living forever? 2 weeks ago:
I mean, I don’t know if I’d still be interested in women after being a vampire that long, but I’d like to think so.
Go to a country with lax sex laws (or at least enforcement), set up a bordello and feed on the workers while they sleep off their necessary highs for doing sex work for a horrible human (vampire) being.
Plus, under the rules I’m fixating on mentally, drinking the blood of someone who is high will get the vampire high, and after hundreds of years plus immortality, I’m gonna get high at some point lol.
(Rules referenced: Old World of Darkness, VTM, etc)

I can’t. Literally can’t.
I will not fall asleep unless I spend some time unwinding first. Preferably alone.
No, not a masturbation reference, but I just need some quiet and not have to remember every little social rule that no one ever explained to any extent, at least to me, seems like others have an idea though.
Its a time to let go of social anxiety build up.
Coworkers make the anxiety worse, friends too, my wife as well. It builds up and I need a couple hours by myself to let that fade before I have a chance of sleeping, even with my meds, some of which are prescribed simply to knock my ass out.
Then again, as a teenager, I stayed up 9 days straight before a doctor snowed me and I crashed. No, it wasn’t some attempt, it was straight insomnia - it sucked tremendously. Also, no, not coke, being “snowed” on an EEG (brain waves) means the medication has caused such a response in the brain, you’re just getting the EEG equivalent to static on an untuned channel, so I have issues with sleep, and have since childhood.

10pm seems late, lol.
Then again, my social circle would get off work, usually staggered by a few hours as people got off.
Then we’d head to the nearby watering hole and join in the festivities that were ongoing from people who opened lol.
Shop doors were shut by 8pm, give the floor a quick pass to clean up any major debris left over from the day (IE: run the push broom over all floors, scoop up, and dump) and then just making sure that a few things were stocked sufficiently for the morning. Like commonly used oils for oil changes.
Now… well,
Bed time is 9pm. I’m not currently working, but want to maintain a reasonable day shift for when I find work. I prefer overnight, but that doesn’t seem to be an option where I moved.
Wife gets up, I get up, and start with applying for jobs and housework. Weekends mean she is working 7a to 7p, medical work, so standard. So we’re up by 6:30 to get some food/caffeine in us before she works - though, if neither of us are hungry, I’ll acquire any caffeine needed and cook later. I’m not cooking at 6:30am. Period. I will burn myself, one of the animals, or my wife, or the house down so… no, I need caffeine first, lol.
- Comment on Windows seemingly lost 400 million users in the past three years — official Microsoft statements show hints of a shrinking user base 2 weeks ago:
Plus how many people have multiple computers in the house?
I sure as fuck do.
I generally run a phone (just because it was mentioned), a desktop, and a laptop.
Plus, my wife technically has three jobs (1 full time, 2 PRN) and hardware (laptop) from each of them, plus she not only has a windows laptop, but a macbook, plus her phone, plus her tablet… it goes on, lol.
My desktop is currently on windows as I’m relying on some third party tools for a game, and I just haven’t had the energy to look into it and get it running on Linux. (EQ private server, well within their rules, though their rules don’t match the live environment - just wanted to clarify I wasn’t cheating anyone, if they include install instructions on the home page, I assume its allowable, plus the GMs give advice in chat for configuration for newbies)
The laptop, is almost, without fail, some flavor of Linux. Its a personal machine, but I’ve mostly worked night shift help desk… sometimes there is time to kill. So I keep it in my backpack of tools and other shit, boot it up and continue whatever I was looking into previously to entertain myself.
Technically, I’m studying for an advanced role at <Insert Company> on the security team, for the most part, lol.
Just because I cracked the coffee shop next doors wifi to borrow their internet (So I can view things that are NOT on my employer’s network on my personal phone) doesn’t mean I’m doing anything nefarious to my employers, and the coffee shop had the wifi password written on a board at their stations, but they were closed because while people may NEED coffee at 2AM (especially to keep fucking children’s hospitals running), they don’t seem to care.
