- Comment on Amazon Allegedly Replaced 40% of AWS DevOps With AI Days Before Crash 1 week ago:
TLDR:
report had been published right before the outage, alleging that the company had laid off 40% of its DevOps team to replace them with AI. … there is a lot of skepticism around this article… although we do not claim it is true or is somehow connected to the systems’ crash.
Super-Duper-short-version:
No trustworthy data about the incident.

Doom and Wolf weren’t “fast”: while Doom had some fast moments, Wolf demanded a slow and methodical approach.

Ethnicity and culture are different. A person can choose to adopt whatever culture they want regardless of their ethnicity.
Correct. And now the question: how can someone detect ethnicity without obvious cultural nuances? Obviously, that guy is talking about people who practice alien and unpleasant cultural practices. And don’t care about local culture. Some immigrants accommodate plus share some interesting culture approaches. Others – completely disregard local culture and behave like they are still at home.
Go to ignore. I’m sick of explaining to every kid around what the difference is between nazism/racism/chauvinism/stereotypes and common sense.
- Comment on Ruby Central tries to make peace after 'hostile takeover' 1 week ago:
Ethnicity is linked to culture in a very straightforward and obvious way. You’re just making drama here.
- Comment on Ruby Central tries to make peace after 'hostile takeover' 1 week ago:
Yes, it is ok. Different people have different tastes in cultural, social, etc neighborhoods. This guy prefers classical British culture. See no wrong here.

Never heard about SJWs actually defending someone who needs defence, but SJWs making drama? Every single time.
The only effective way to make things right (and the most difficult, alas) is the community who manages their gems-shit by themselves, without corporations, prominent figures and 6-digit grants.

*therefore
Yeah, militarists-nazi-LGBT-crazy"left" drama is strong here. But moderation is mild, so this shit isn’t important. Plus we don’t have shady things here like shadow-bans, so overall it is a rather good place: most people are completely disgustingly crazy but most of them hold banners with a full listing of their crazy beliefs. Read those listings and avoid speaking with local people on these themes.

- Comment on Birds are a class of dinosaurs, biologically speaking. That means, Dino nuggets are legitimately made from dinosaur meat. 2 weeks ago:
birds are dinosaurs
Don’t know or care about formalism here. But from a common point of view, that is just some pedantic bullshit (even if true at all) because when we say “dinosaur” we always mean animals from millions of years ago. Same level of annoyance as those crazies who claim that “water isn’t wet”.
you think a showerthought needs to have a deeper point
This. But I understand that we have bathtubs for deeper thoughts.

So? That’s as pathetic as that American constantly alternating tomato(or was it something else? Not important in this case…) classification. You can classify birds as dragons and this would change nothing.
- Comment on Why are fruits and berries healthy, even though they are mostly just sugar? 3 weeks ago:
I don’t remember the concrete names of the substances; my point was that there is a variety of them and they react differently in the body.
- Comment on Why are fruits and berries healthy, even though they are mostly just sugar? 3 weeks ago:
1st: they are NOT healthy. You just never eat berries in such amounts as you consume sugar in confectionery things.
2nd: there are many different types of sweet substances. Some are worse like sugar, others are safer like fructose. - Comment on Brits in disbelief as new refillable drinks ban implemented across UK 3 weeks ago:

- Comment on AI Coding Is Massively Overhyped, Report Finds 4 weeks ago:
Well, don’t use it with new, poorly documented libraries or libraries. That is a common sense rule: use the tool where it is useful.
Somehow many LLM criticizers just claim that LLMs are shit because they can’t autonomously write code. Yes, they can’t. But they can do many other useful things.

- Comment on AI Coding Is Massively Overhyped, Report Finds 4 weeks ago:
Industry? Yes, industry hires people who know how to do things needed by industry and who do nothing besides those things.
Programmers outside “industry” more often find themselves writing using the libraries they see for the first time and using languages they never thought to use. AI helps a lot here.
