I did that when I was working 2am-11am unloading freight at a retail chain. Never again.

That’s absolutely not true anymore. Many games support mods now, and Steam Workshop is a thing.
- Comment on Babe 2 days ago:
I do it with coffee. I have a whiskey barrel aged roast that I could brew and freeze into cubes.
- Comment on Babe 2 days ago:
It would make some cool ice cubes, though.
It would be a reverse dilution drink. Instead of the ice melting making it weaker, it just gets more potent as you go.
I feel like bars wouldn’t like this, though, as people would probably take even longer before ordering their next drink.

- Comment on CVE Board members launch the CVE Foundation, a dedicated, non-profit to continue identifying vulnerabilities, after the US ended its contract with Mitre 1 week ago:
No one said they weren’t funding vulnerability research anymore. They just weren’t going to share the information.

Good luck, I’ve been trying for 2 months and I was a senior engineer.

I’m 6’3 and I wasn’t that fat pushing 300lb.
- Comment on Even his doctors are full of it 1 week ago:
My money would be on Trump only ever being 5’11. Obama was 6’1 and Trump was still several inches shorter.
- Comment on Even his doctors are full of it 1 week ago:
Trump also has on lifts. Look at the difference in sole thickness.
- Comment on Dear Big Tech, Stop Shoving AI Into Operating Systems 1 week ago:
Anyone who is savvy enough to install an OS won’t have any issues installing specific programs, especially since most products that people would be using have a direct download for the deb/rpm.
And if you’re not tech savvy enough to install an OS, you’re probably already getting someone who is savvy to do computer work for you.
But, this isn’t the 2000s. Everyone knows the concept of an app store, and most mainstream distros have one featured prominently.

Modern Linux doesn’t have a learning curve for 99% of people. My wife’s 90 year old grandma picked it up with no trouble.
- Comment on Interesting logic 1 week ago:
I also agree with this statement, although it’s well within the realm of possibility that life on Earth was seeded by an ancient extraterrestrial civilization. That’s a timescale of a few billion years.
But it’s still not as stupid as thinking that the supreme creator of the infinite universe has a personal interest in your actions.
- Comment on Interesting logic 1 week ago:
It’s really stupid to not believe in aliens given the size of the universe.

I’m pretty sure tops legs are open for reverse cowgirl. Straddling your partner is part of why it’s called cowgirl.

Same with reverse cowgirl.

- Comment on An Algorithm Deemed This Nearly Blind 70-Year-Old Prisoner a “Moderate Risk.” Now He’s No Longer Eligible for Parole. 1 week ago:
Blind 70 year olds can still be dangerous. Being blind and old doesn’t prevent that.
They’re not saying that offloading the responsibility to an algorithm is good, they’re saying it’s weird to assume a person is harmless based on nothing but two attributes.
- Comment on An Algorithm Deemed This Nearly Blind 70-Year-Old Prisoner a “Moderate Risk.” Now He’s No Longer Eligible for Parole. 1 week ago:
I know for a fact they’ve released “harmless old men,” who basically instantly go out and kill someone.

We’ve actually gotten relatively clear pictures of exoplanets fairly recently. They’re still blobs, but now they have color!

I’m pretty resistant to stimulants, but I have ADHD so that skews this.

I straight up told mine I require significantly more anesthesia because of my genetics. He made the incision, asked if I felt it, I said yes, then he started.
I did find out that I have an enormous pain tolerance, though. Fortunately the recovery was a breeze, so I guess I speed ran the pain.

I woke up during my colonoscopy. I distinctly remember asking for more anesthesia, and them telling me I already had the max.
