The next time that you see a cat in your neighbourhood, just sit down and see if they’re interesting in coming over to inspect you or get some pats.

Goddamn it man, not the user account password, the fucking admin account password. Did you even read the article? Every single user account’s information was compromised, not one randoms jerk with 123456 for their password.

Speak for yourself, I’m holding out hope that the universe is actually a little fair, and that the dolt responsible to creating that password, and subsequently fucking over millions of people has their testicles ruptured. Who are these idiots?

“Spaceballs: the HR Robot”
Seriously though, who the fuck uses 123456 as the password for anything? The morons pulling shit like this are making bank while the people brought onboard by McDonalds make scratch by comparison, and would be crucified for fucking up even a fraction as much as this. Millions, with six zeroes, millions of applicants’ data stolen from an account with the kind of password that a kid would use on their home computer. Fuck, this makes me so mad, the sheer incompetence.
- Comment on Why Americans Can’t Buy the World’s Best Electric Car 1 week ago:
Not an American, but it’s worth saying that despite their labour market’s galling shortfalls, they don’t have a culture of 12 hour days for 6 days per week. Many work much less, and those who do pull those kinds of hours are typically tradesmen/women who make pretty good bank. Those types of jobs are being systematically eliminated by corporations, but I digress.

It won’t be them living the reality though, it will be their subordinates and employees. The same ones already being crushed to death by production metrics, stagnation of wages and inflation. The people involved in these decision making processes are too well shielded from the actual consequences, beyond maybe driving past and seeing the ruins of what used to be towns/cities/neighbourhoods destroyed by the free market and social policies.

Serious question, are the wasps as likely to get diarrhea eating that as I think they are, and will the hive reject them at the entrance if they’re doing the insect equivalent of shitting their pants the way hives do with drunks?

I’m not on the inside track on this, but it may be for biometric cataloguing of persons denied entry, or even something so simple as testing for drugs, but couldn’t say 100% what U.S. immigration agents have been legally entitled entitled to since 9/11.

The inability to rewind without activating ads was what really got me back in the day. Nobody wants to call over their friend to watch something cool/funny, only to have the clip trigger an ad when they restart it.
- Comment on [deleted] 3 weeks ago:
I wish that I’d screenshotted it, but I’ve had one outrageously long 1+ hr. ad on Youtube. The thing was literally a feature length infomercial, I thought that autoplay had carried onto the next videos in my playlist and couldn’t believe that it was an ad when I saw the length. For shit like that to have slipped through Youtube’s “quality control” even once speaks volumes - how in the Hell did someone submit an ad longer than a Saturday morning cartoon and have it slotted into the same category as 15 second toothpaste ads?

- Comment on Is it a prison break if the prisoners have been unjustly detained? Who decides when it is a hostage rescuse situation? 4 weeks ago:
Sure it, doesn’t, neither does the weather but it still tends to function based reliably predictable criteria. I’m describing the baseline definition because OP asked about whether or not it counts. Judges decide, and generally err based on constituent parts of the scenario qualify for established legal definitions.
- Comment on Is it a prison break if the prisoners have been unjustly detained? Who decides when it is a hostage rescuse situation? 4 weeks ago:
By legal standards, it’s my understanding that any unlawful release from custody is a “jail break” regardless of the conditions of incarceration. Unjust detainment is a kind of legal threshold intended to assign a determination of legality to any scenario where anyone is taken into custody by state officials or law enforcement, not someone’s opinion of whether or not it’s fair.

I’ve been hearing it for years, the same as outright boycotts. It’s not that people don’t care, it’s that not enough people care for it to make a difference. For every person pissed about getting burned on a $60+ purchase for a dogshit game, there are 99 more who’ll eat it and move on without caring all that much. You’ve got to improve the content at home, where it counts without worrying about the drek getting turned out by large companies/studios. Invest in indie, or shop around is the best bet IMO.
