- Comment on Israel arrests 3 Ultra-Orthodox men for dodging military draft in first-ever police action 3 days ago:
Many reject military service, arguing that their lives are dedicated to Torah study and that integration into secular society would compromise their religious identity.
That’s uhh a very weird thing to say.

It’s weird never seen a Gen Z give me the “stare” I wonder why? Oh it must be the kids who are wrong!
Glad to see the bullshit rolls to the next generation. Woo!

Christ, what spawn of hell that pairing would make.
- Comment on Its so easy for humans to die from a random accident, but very hard to deliberately end their own lives reliably and painlessly. 1 week ago:
Other than the fent and bomb one I have heard stories of people surviving. Heard a load of people surviving making explosives that went wrong so. Feel sugar cube fent is the only truly reliable one.

If companies can stop cheaping out on their USB-C ports that’d be cool.

I think Apex has had EAC for atleast 2-3 years but yeah I am unsure if they switched from a non-kernel level or not.
- Comment on Mexico president slams xenophobia after anti-gentrification protest 2 weeks ago:
Yeah. I’ve heard right wing talking heads and unfortunate people I had to personally deal with complain that there are whole streets in cities that don’t speak the language.
So why shouldn’t we be mad at the landlords and property speculators who have inflated property prices because of greed? Maybe the people from the USA moved because they can’t afford to live in the city thry left? And Trump. Trump supporters have used love it or leave it twice now. Remote working made it feasable for people to take that advice.

Did you really just take a far right saying and applied it to Mexico City?

- Comment on Nearly 20% of cancer drugs defective in 4 African nations 3 weeks ago:
I think it was supposed to portray second hand/dubious origin medications being sorted through rather than a pick n mix.
Undoubtedly there was art direction but I expect that from pretty much every photo ever taken.
Either way I think it would be on the articles author for the picture choice rather than the photographer. I don’t think Getty lets you deny who gets to use your photos.
- Comment on Surprise! Nuclear Throne has a new update that's mostly for people that insist on only playing games that can do 60fps 3 weeks ago:
I am not sure. If my game is running at 30 it is usually dropping frames as well. I didn’t know nuclear Throne was 30fps for instance. That being said I don’t remember playing Nuclear Throne at all and I have every achivement on steam…

She is/was a Central African Republic correspondant. A lot of her photos are going to have Africans in them.
I dug a bit: CAFRICA-HEALTH-POVERTY Stephen Hyppolite Liosso Pivara Bembe, a former medical student who was never able to finish his studies, sifts though medicines in the small street pharmacy he owns in Bangui, on 21 February 2022. Informal pharmacies are vital for the poorest population of this Central African country, the second least developed in the world according to the UN and in civil war for 10 years. But there is a flip side to the coin: proliferation of poor quality or fake drugs, resistance to antibiotics, illegal practice of medicine. She has quite a few of Stephen doing tasks in his Pharmacy.

I can’t tell the difference between 60fps and 165fps unless side by side. Just throwing that out there. As long as the frame rate is stable and not hitching I can’t tell. I just don’t see a difference.

Plas-39 accelarator rifle, gp-31 ultamatum as secondary and stalwart as support.
Accelarator to take out the annoying heavy armoured guys, ultamatum to blow up ships in 1 hit and stalwart to take out the hordes.
Only issue I have is the strafing runs and my friend sitting still to shoot at hordes instead of completing the objectives. They keep coming if you sit still. All 3 enemies keep coming if you sit still. Move!

- Comment on Google is intentionally throttling YouTube videos, slowing down users with ad blockers 5 weeks ago:
I remember a time when ads were loud, obnoxious and popped out. So I’m fine with minimal sidebar and an ad at the start middle if the video was long enough and at the end.

We are lucky it wasn’t reposted from somewhere with the attribution removed and the souce is not known.
