Isn’t Windows File Explorer considered basic? It only just got tabs in 11 right? That and clicking on a disconnected network share would cause it to hang for a good few minutes.
- Comment on Zelensky says Ukraine captured two Chinese nationals fighting for Russia 2 days ago:
When there are no official boots on the ground. Yeah. It is indistinguishable. Both sides are allowing foreign nationals to fight for them, is it a surprise that there would be Chinese people fighting for Russia?
- Comment on Zelensky says Ukraine captured two Chinese nationals fighting for Russia 2 days ago:
Uhh. Is it not a little hypocritical to call this out? You probably got every nationality of Europe and the USA represented in the Ukranian military. Also a few Americans that got in the news for fighting for Russia.
- Comment on Not just Switch 2: ESA warns Trump’s tariffs will hurt the entire game industry 6 days ago:
That’s. Not as bad as I thought. It’s once or twice a week, the local sports teams around me all play about once a week. If golf weren’t so expensive it would sound normal.

- Comment on Automatically Crack Safes With This Autodialer 1 week ago:
Wait so. You are supposed to go past the last number until around 85-90? I think it was a 4 digit code as well if I remember right. So I spun it atleast 5 times. Well I spun it whatever direction I started way over what I needed as time went on.
Skill issue
Well yeah obviously. Possibly wrong conbination too. Bit weird that only one person could open it and he wouldn’t tell you how.
- Comment on Roman numerals could be based on what your hand looks like when you count. 1 week ago:
X is just 2 V stuck together. Same for C being 2 L stuck together.
- Comment on Automatically Crack Safes With This Autodialer 1 week ago:
Ugh hate those locks. Only one guy could open them, when asked how he would “show” you buy doing it in under a second. Then you ask him again he shugs and says “muscle memory”. Arsehole.
Nobody knew which way to spin it first and the bloody code didn’t work! I swear that code was wrong! Spent hours on that stupid safe. My colleagues spent hours on that stupid safe it doesn’t work! Piece of shit lock.
Honestly greatest thing about leaving that job. Not having to deal with that safe.

I bet most universes did and he was too much of a prude to mention it.
- Comment on ChatGPT is shifting rightwards politically 1 week ago:
Always does. Didn’t twitter (before musk) make a chat bot that became a racist, holocaust denying, consiracy theorist bot?
I think a lot of the early ones did. If you are scaping comments you are going to get a lot of racist shit.
- Comment on The IOC probably hopes that countries other than Belarus, North Korea, Hungary and International Olympic Athletes will want to show up for the 2028 games. 2 weeks ago:
It’s not the athletes I took issue with, that’s their passions being taken advantage of. It was the fans I don’t understand. Could you just not miss watching it for a year or 4.
Listening to a football fan complain about Qatar and then still watch it was crazy to me. You explained so much on why nobody should watch it then watched it anyway!
- Comment on China bans compulsory facial recognition and its use in private spaces like hotel rooms 2 weeks ago:
I mean any camera in an area where you are either pooping or getting naked is a big no no. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t illegal in most countries.
- Comment on China bans compulsory facial recognition and its use in private spaces like hotel rooms 2 weeks ago:
Hold on. I can put a facial recognition camera in a public bathroom if it’s for AI in China. That can’t be right

I mean it’s two sentenses, about as clear as mud. Could have been talking only about small arms, or all arms available at the time, or future weapons nobody had even dreamed up yet.
- Comment on Chinese EV maker BYD says new fast-charging system could be as quick as filling up a tank 3 weeks ago:
BYD recieved 3.7 billion between 2018-2022 2.2 billion in 2022 alone.
Ford recieved under 500 million in 2022 but did recieve 1.7 billion in 2023.
Ford motor apparently has only recieved 7.7 billion in subsidies since the year 2000. Usually from states rather than fedrally.

Somebody is going to have to explain to me how starlink is going to boost WiFi availability if it is routed from offsite using their current fibre network.

- Comment on Why can't we go back to small phones? 5 weeks ago:
The xcovers backs usually stay on when you drop them and the back only really holds the battery in. The internals are protected by another layer of plastic.
As you say the specs do suck though.

There was an uptick of violent crimes from covid. Apparently people being couped up at home made em go a little crazy.
I believe it is either leveling off or going down depending on where you are now.

- Comment on Does bong water count as cold brewed tea? 1 month ago:
What am I if I think tea must have leaves in it but added non leaf things doesn’t stop it being tea? Gutter water is definitely tea. I guess a stew made with a bay leaf is also tea. Coffee is made from beans so is coffee not tea.
