- Comment on Why do people hate coldplay? 2 days ago:
I remember me and my buddy were sitting around one night drinking mad dog and smoking weed and a live company Coldplay concert was on TV so we watched it and thought it was kind of good. Then the next day we each listened to Coldplay sober on our own. I got a text from him half way thru the day that just said “holy shit dude,I don’t know what was going on last night, but I just listened to Coldplay again… It’s like the sound track to a woman complaining about her period… How the fuck did this sound good last night?”

It works all the fucking time. The sun doesn’t turn off. You attach batteries to the solar panels that way if there are clouds you can just use what’s in the batteries and if it’s a sunny day and you don’t need the extra energy you store it in the batteries until you do. And if it’s really cloudy in your area… Get a windmill.

It would though, and that was why Luigi was such a danger to them. Ultimately they will keep writing stories that people keep clicking on and or reading. Even during Trump’s initial run for president there were journalists to express that they love the fact that Trump was running because people would always read the articles about him. He was sensational.
Then the day came where Luigi committed justified self-defense on a public New York street. I bet there are more journalists that would rather be printing non-stop stories about Luigi because people would rather read them, as opposed to some dumb shit Trump is doing.

You mean a hero? That goes around defeating evil who would rather spend billions to ruin humanity instead of millions to improve it?
I think the word your looking for is hero
- Comment on YSK that fracking is not safe. People living near fracking sites are more likely to develop serious diseases 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, to flip the switch now, all at once would be incredibly disruptive. But we knew this was going to happen over 40 years ago. Shit, all elected officials in the US had to do was follow the plan that Jimmy Carter laid out.
I also seriously question the numbers saying that tidal, solar, and wind power can’t provide enough to sustain the status quo. Yeah, powering a ship across the ocean can be hard… But you also have an essentially unlimited supply of wind and tidal power for a ship out on the ocean and quite a bit of solar power although it’s not as reliable.
I mean it may take a little bit longer for the overall journey but you could pause and just bob up and down in the ocean to recharge the batteries in a cargo ship or move the slower speed while you recharge. That’s not even exploring options like hybrid sail / battery powered ships
- Comment on YSK that fracking is not safe. People living near fracking sites are more likely to develop serious diseases 2 weeks ago:
The entire concept of fracking is that you pump water full of dangerous chemicals, then drill into a fissure, and blast it full of your chemical slurry so that it eventually forces natural gas out of the fissure. Then when all the natural gas is gone, they pack up and leave with their money. The chemical slurry stays in the ground forever, leaching into water tables, public waterways, potentially contaminating soil used for live stock and agriculture.
We literally have a visible ball of unlimited fusion energy in the fucking sky, and natural tides that can power tidal generators, but no, let’s just poison the shit out of everyone for a slightly better profit margin…

Thanks for the actual response. Personally I think you sample size is way too low, and the selection is skewed towards people that already feel marginalized, which will in turn, skew your results

They are just trying to embed anti American private corpos into the military so they can embed backdoors into all our systems and sell the keys/secrets to the highest bidder. Hundreds of fucking years of nation building, espionage, state secrets, all undone in less that a year, by the buttfuck traitors that pretend to be the most patriotic

- Comment on Why does America feel the need to control the world? Do what they say? Instead of taking care of their own problems at home? When did the US become police officer of the world and enforcer? 4 weeks ago:
The main reason is that if we stop being the biggest shark in the tank, the next two biggest sharks (China and Russia) can’t be trusted to not feast on the smaller sharks. And if they do feast, they will become too large for the American shark to deal with.

- Comment on Am I weird for avoiding flying on prop planes, and only fly on jets? 1 month ago:
So if we’re being real, a jet engine is basically a super high rpm propeller that’s enclosed in a cowling. If anything the stress it’s under makes it more prone to failure. I could see avoiding single prop aircraft, which for pretty much all passenger flights would be propeller driven. But honestly any aircraft would be fine for me provided it has an experienced human pilot and at least 2 engines.

Short answer, without trying to use political adversaries to try and provoke an unfounded fear response, no they absolutely can’t. Their entire ideology is that government is out of control, it takes too much, spends too much, and doesn’t give enough. But then the first thing they do when they gain power is entrench government power, control, and overreach, while they simultaneously strip citizens of their rights, and means to acquire enough wealth to make significant changes and contributions from a financial perspective.
If you want the TLDR, conservatives hate our government, and by extension, our country. unless they, and only they can wield it’s power to the full extent, and gain all of its benefits, at the expense of people they disagree with, or view as ‘less’ than them. With they cannot do that, they will claim that the government takes too much, and has no accountability, and exceeds its means. When they are in control however, their only concern is that the ‘bad people’ are trying to constrain their power, and force accountability.
They exist because they create a political environment that’s dysfunctional, blame the other side for the dysfunction, then Everytime they gain power, they entrench bullshit that will further perpetuate political and societal dysfunction.

No, I want it voiced by a trained actor.
I thought Terrance Howard was great in the first iron man, I was really bummed to find out they dropped him, then I saw the second one and you know what? Don cheadle knocked it out of the park.
I thought the daily show would be shit without Craig Kilbourn, and then bam, we get Jon Stewart. Pure gold.
If we had just used AI to knock off the originals we never would have seen other actors shine in the role

That was my hope during his first term. I figured he was so massively unqualified that he’d fuck up so badly he’d get impeached and hopefully executed for treason. The frustrating part is that I was right about him being a massively unqualified fuck up, and the impeachment. I just didn’t think that 95% of Republicans were complete traitors that cared more about Russian bribes than Americans.

I never actually criticized people for supporting trans rights. I just pointed out that the topic can be divisive in American culture, and that is someone wanted to sow division, an easy way to do it would be to talk too much about that one very narrow topic, when we should be focusing on broader cooperative efforts at the moment. It doesn’t mean trans people deserve any more or less than anyone else.

Because you were never in their secret little club. That’s what these idiots don’t understand. They think that because they have a few million dollars, or tens of millions and a business that they are ‘wealthy’ and therefore Republicans are one of them and vice versa.
If you don’t have at least 250 million, you are never going to be the intended beneficiary of Republican policy, and in fact, you will be harmed by their decisions. If you went to one of their little fund raisers and proudly announced that your business made ten million dollars last year, they’d fucking laugh at you, because you’re a joke to them.
