Even if you like shonen usually they have a downward trend in quality if anything. Everything else is usually sink or swim and has to be good from season 1 or season 2 never happens.

Oh shit somebody who can accurately be called a doomer. This feels like the time I ran into an actual naz-bol in the wild. It’s like spotting an overhyped cryptid, I thought they were more of a rhetorical device than actually real.

This raises the terrifying possibility that somebody actually did buy this with the goal of inclusivity.

At this point surely you could just have two individual chairs spaced about that far apart and slightly angled towards eachother. Still anti homeless but also at least a better user experience for, for lack of a better term, intended users.
Probably cheaper than the weird bench and more plausible deniability.

Image If China’s economic ascendancy happened 50 years sooner we would probably already have it. Democracies are allergic to massive capital investments that take decades to pay off.

I’m sure a polycule has both tried this and given somebody a mild anxiety attack in the process.

I used to think this until one day I looked at a local shelters available dogs online and they were literally all pitbulls and other fighting dogs. Granted I was living in a shithole at the time but if your only options are no dog, dog that is at least 25% descended from something bred to be violent, and paying somebody who seems to not be 100% evil for a poodle I’m at least sympathetic to the third option now.

For a second I thought this was the kitchen in one of my previous apartments. Is it that common for shitty apartments to not have drawer pulls on the cabinets?

There is a subset of people on lemmy who embody the npc :| >:| meme specifically for anything tangentially related to elon musk. Elon likes the idea of self driving cars so it’s better if 10 people are killed by human drivers than 1 person is killed by a self driving car.

You almost have a point but to get there you have to ignore the entire actual context of the conflict. It’s not just killing because of killing, there’s an entire ongoing expansionist colonial project making one party clearly the aggressor.

I certainly remember when lenovo pushed a keyboard firmware update so bad that it physically damaged a chip on thousands of legion laptops and then refused to own up to it. Fuckers. Never again.

I had to ditch ddg when they started injecting my vpn’s geoip as a search term in almost every search. It was to the point where I could literally be including an actual city and state as a search term and I would mostly get results for the vpn’s location. Naturally there is no option to disable this behavior.
Startpage is nice though.
- Comment on Bad UX is keeping the majority of people away from Lemmy 10 months ago:
“but it feels like old reddit”. My god, imagine actively preferring the new reddit UI. Let them keep their shiny jangling keys instead of coming over here and pestering the devs for a snoovatar feature or whatever nonsense.
The ‘maybe read for 2 minutes to figure it out’ miniscule barrier to entry is a feature not a bug.
