It’s criminal that delta.chat isn’t named as an alternative chat especially since it’s in-chat apps (webxdc.org) contain alternatives for half of googles apps that are peer to peer, e2ee and offline first unlike most of the alternatives in the graphic.
- Comment on Spliit – Open-source, self-hostable alternative to Splitwise 2 weeks ago:
Hosting your bill anywhere is just waiting for your data to be sold or leaked. You can keep your split bill fully encrypted and only shared between the people that you trust: webxdc.org/apps/#durian-splitbill
Usable in XMPP based Cheogram, or Delta Chat for e2ee bill splitting.

There is also no standard way of buying a DRM free epub for personal use so I’m fine downloading them from Anna too :)

It can also mean to overcharge someone,
But does that make sense in the context that Jesus said it? Jesus whole thing was being compassionate, not the cost of living. A week later on his last meal he even famously rejected the lamb from his final meal.
what were they stealing from the animals
Their lives

He calls them “λῃστής”
Which translates to robber. To rob means “stealing using force or violence”. Who were the priests using violence against you think? Their clients or animals?

He called out the practice of killing animals for money, specifically calling the priests murderers during the event you reference. Not much of that spirit left in modern churches.

Is this one of those “the ogre has fallen I love with the princess” farquaad meme situations
- Comment on When we eat the billionaires, we should spare Gabe Newell? No? 2 months ago:
Why? He takes a 30% cut from every game sale just because his platform has a dominant grasp on gamers.
I don’t understand how people can hate taxes (which go on to pay for schools and roads) but not the way larger cut that digital storefronts charge.

- Comment on Wikipedia Says AI Is Causing a Dangerous Decline in Human Visitors 3 months ago:
Most importantly, the pipeline from finding a question on SO that you also have, to answering that question after doing some more research is now completely derailed because if you ask an AI a question and it doesn’t have a good answer you have no way to contribute your eventual solution to the problem.

If you use the computer to access a single webpage that’s bookmarked, youtube and ebay, maybe an hour every week at most, expecting them to have to learn a new system and a command line isn’t feasible.
You don’t need to access the command line (nor even the system really) to do browsing. The same browser you use on windows is gonna work on Linux.
