Its not about it being not dry. Its moreso that its the exact type of tone that would make me want to do the exact opposite of whatever it says.

It genuinely seems like it could have fantastic advice. I just wish they didn’t make it so incredibly condescending.

Not really? The city over is a college town though so maybe its just close enough for osmosis to happen

The advice given isnt the issue. Its the attitude its all spoken in…
Stuff like “Free (unlike your late fee that you keep racking up)” for example

This feels incredibly targeted to me… one of the residents must be a pit bull owner with a deadbeat cousin and some really good Tuesday nights.

- Comment on Fata Deum, a god game where you have convert citizen living across an island to your faith, released in early access on Steam. 3 weeks ago:
Im not 100% sure if this is true but I’ve been told its due to steams email policy.
They’ll email everyone when a wishlist game goes on sale and they also email everyone when a game has a 15% or more sale. Doing a 15% sale on launch doubles the chance of people seeing the emails.

My entire issue with this season was how they handled the Batel stuff. I thought it was really really interesting and then she just kinda… poof…
Her struggling with being a gorn host wouldve been significantly more interesting and it wouldve made more sense while being sadder.

I haven’t been able to really care much about her content since her take on react videos. That video was so poorly researched and misinformed that it makes me suspicious of all of her other videos.

The radio shack brand got bought up by the guy who did the “I’m in my garage” ads and now is a front for a crypto exchange.
It’s a completely different company using the shell of Radio Shack for brand recognition

You’re right! I mixed it up with a different battlefield. I was thinking of the campaign mode for BFV

- Comment on Why is nobody mad about TGI Fridays taking the lords name in vain? 5 months ago:
No but I would talk about Santa despite not believing him.
This whole debate is stupid though… I used a very common phrase because it’s a common phrase that people use. That’s pretty much it. I’m done replying.
- Comment on Why is nobody mad about TGI Fridays taking the lords name in vain? 5 months ago:
My question is about what people who actively use that phrase would be upset about. Someone who says the lords name would be upset about “the lords name” specifically.
There’s a difference between being upset about some guy talking to some girl and being upset that your best friend John is flirting with your wife. The specific labels happen to matter even if they aren’t the terms I would use in any other circumstances.

See, I’m not sure about the cutoff point… I’ve heard stories of people getting upset over “God this is so good” after taking a bit of a good meal.
Like I said, I’m not religious so idk all of the context here… I’m just curious why I’ve never seen any complaints about it at all. Not saying more should be upset, just curious.

My fiancé was raised extremely religious and managed to escape that life. The childhood teaching and consequences of said upbringing are always prevalent for us.
As for everyone else… The religious far-right has been growing rapidly across the entire globe so I imagine that has at least a part in it.

It’s a common thing religious people say “taking the Lords name in vain”. This is the thing people would call a sin. It wouldn’t be the same if phrased differently.
