I don’t know the coding bits at all, but I really like the TL;DR! Is it a reference to the Jean Shepard book?

Twin bought me the dlc for Animal Crossing New Horizons. It’s been fun making houses! Also turns out you can use those new abilities in the new hotel! So I’ve been going back there to expand hotel rooms and shine stuff up!
- Comment on Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week? 1 week ago:
The New Horizons update came early so I was fixing up some hotel rooms! And delighting in being able to craft from my storage and being able to craft multiple items at once and being able to get resetti to remove swaths of flowers for me. I might have accidentally had the entire island be flowers.
- Comment on Is it normal for a simmer to not produce any bubbles? 2 weeks ago:
Simmer is just below bubbles I was taught! I made chicken stock from bones, used my thermometer that was calibrated so I know was working, also got around 204 and the surface just sort of glistens. No bubbles on the surface though!
- Comment on Pet Peeves with Games? 2 weeks ago:
For some reason, no. Not for things like Animal Crossings New Horizons. It’s the same island so the same save so to speak. If my twin started playing the game on their profile, they could do whatever they wanted to my island because it’s the same island.
- Comment on Pet Peeves with Games? 2 weeks ago:
Rebound keys is important because husband has cerebral palsy and needs to heavily modify the layout, that’s good then!
So many games also don’t allow that as well, multiple key maps!
- Comment on Pet Peeves with Games? 2 weeks ago:
Oh yes, wasn’t even thinking of that. Part of my twins gift to me of New Horizons was the promise they wouldn’t play the game as well because it’s one island and it’s miiiiine. So many other games on the switch, just use a profile and bam! New game! Bah Nintendo.
- Comment on Pet Peeves with Games? 2 weeks ago:
This might have been the issue as well? All the saves were in the Cloud. But I’m not very techy. While I can follow instructions (I think), software seems to hate me. The hardware, we’re friends!
- Comment on Pet Peeves with Games? 2 weeks ago:
Single saves. Me and husband have one computer (we’re broke?) and too many games have a single save. So we can’t play that game trading off cause there’s only one save. Like Baldur’s Gate 3? Amazing. Billion saves, hell a billion for each character even. Heaven’s Vault? Wild Bastards? One save. Guh.

I’ve been sick so all I’ve been playing has been a bit of Animal Crossing New Horizons. Saw Celeste again, so that was cute!
- Comment on Does smelling your food while you cook it make it taste bland? 3 weeks ago:
Yeah, the longer it takes to cook the more I dislike it even if everyone else is raving. It’s one of the several reasons I like to can things. Canning takes awhile, but then later on I can pop open a jar and my brain has forgotten the exhaustion and only goes “oooo homemade food in seconds!!!”

I didn’t see the legs as weird at first, was confused, then went and read again and I’m scared. I’m scared of this giraffe deeply!
- Comment on We used to have TV repairmen who would come if dad couldn't fix it with the tube from the grocery store kiosk. Weird. 3 weeks ago:
A now abandoned building at the end of the block use to be a repair store. Tv, vacuum, any other machines. I’m sad I never got to see it.

If all I had to do to pay that loan was occasionally shake some apple trees and sell them to the raccoons nephews and also get paid ticket money for doing chores, sign me the fuck up
- Comment on Can pets tell who's petting them without looking? 3 weeks ago:
All cats I’ve ever had always looked up to see who was petting them. They usually didn’t mind any of us petting them, but they always looked.

When the pile gets too large in the bathroom or on Sunday, whichever comes first.
- Comment on Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week? 5 weeks ago:
Twin continues to want to play together, and Stardew Valley with lots of mods continues to be the best option.
The addition of Jorts and Jean is a delight. I’m stuck on how I’m suppose to be unlocking some of the Expanded stuff though. I’ll have to wiki it eventually.

When I played I was a chef! Often I just ghosted though in order to learn more. Follow people around, see what they do. Helped my autistic brain so I felt better about fucking shit up.
Loved my chef knife. Stupid mice eating my banana bread!
- Comment on What are your gaming highlights of 2025? 1 month ago:
I should okay more Space Station 14. I use to play quite a bit of 13, and it was quite fun to deep fry everything. I hope more things are added to 14! Otherwise I’ll just have to continue my escapades of “I only know how to make banana bread, botany boss, thanks!”
- Comment on Are you a market or supermarket enthusiast? 1 month ago:
I don’t have to pretend! I am a family member so I can just get the discount!
- Comment on Are you a market or supermarket enthusiast? 1 month ago:
My twin works at a grocery store, so we shop there because employee discount.
We sometimes go to farmers markets though for fresh produce or produce the grocery doesn’t sell. Like winesap apples for canning apple butter.

Doing well in Animal Crossing New Horizons, what with the huge spike day on the stalks, made money before immediately spending it on a castle tower thing.
Also most of the island is just flowers now, which will be a problem for trying to fit in the castle tower and the fountain I also bought.
- Comment on Oh nooooo 1 month ago:
I loved those wooden train tracks. We had them as kids, while pile of them including bridges! Lots of fun. Mostly enjoyed building insane layouts.

Part of the gift was my game is solo player even though my twin owns the switch. They won’t run around and do islandy things!

Playing Animal Crossing New Horizons and it’s snowing on my island! I think this is the first possible day for it.
The little villagers are wearing coats and hats its so fucking cute!
