without forcing their fans to follow them on Twitter
Maybe that’s one reason: to keep people on Twitch. If a website’s users are going elsewhere, that is lost attention and a drop in ecosystem reliance/usage. Copying features from an outside ecosystem will give users a reason to stay in the current ecosystem.
Twitter supporting live streams. Reddit supporting follows. All social media supporting likes and favourites. Twitch supporting stories. They are converging on what retains users’ attention.

The demonym for the United States is American: en.wikipedia.org/…/List_of_adjectival_and_demonym…
Anyone from the anywhere in the Americas could be ‘American’. ‘North American’ would narrow the results further to only people in North America. So ‘North American’ is a more accurate descriptor for people from the United States.
Canada is in northern North America.
The United States is in central North America (central based on longitude).
Mexico is in southern North America.
So people from the United States are Central North Americans. Cenoricans ? Cenoramis?

The difference is NPCs exist only for the main character’s experience. Oblivion’s Adoring Fan does not have a life outside of interacting with the main character or an existence outside of when the human in the external reality controls the main character in the simulated reality. In our reality there is apparently no main character. Everything and everyone simply is. To learn one is artificial is to realise that everything one has done is artificial and confined to the boundaries of someone else’s experience. A created slave with a hollow origin and no means of escaping a forced purpose.

What about a radial hanger? Hooks positioned at Fibonacci intervals spiralling outward. Would the weight be more evenly distributed toward the center?

I guess you would eventually learn Simlish. That sounds fun

Would creatures in Faerûn know their lives are determined by dice rolls? Would we get to roll the dice determining our fate?
Maybe there would be no dice rolls if the game becomes our new reality.

You get to live forever! Even if you die, you always respawn. And you can explore the beautiful Lands Between. Sounds nice once you get used to the ‘dying’ part.

The work of restoring civilization rests entirely on my shoulders.
Immortality will give you immense patience. Even if you become frustrated you can always sit back, rest for as long as you need, then try again. I like those odds, even with the cons.

I’d join a ranch and try to make an honest living away from all the noise. Or live as a vagrant along the southeast coast, living off fish and berries, avoiding people.

If someone is shocked or angry at you, repeatedly say sumimasen, bow profusely, then run into the wilderness and hide.
Otherwise, run into the wilderness and hide.

The concept of transporters scare me.
unless impossible to avoid
Yeah. In more dangerous situations I would need to choose between
A) Me dying permanently
B) using a transporter to avoid Me dying permanently, but Original Me dying in the transporter so Other Me can live.
Every day I wake up with the memories of being the same person who went to bed last night. What if I’m a new consciousness stream who simply has those memories but never lived them?

Would be weird since my cousin is dead

“Day 1. The manager- Our manager, said I’m needed on the pitch. They’re refusing to start without me. I guess this is my life now.”
“Day 4. Why does nobody care that I’m playing? I’m not complaining, but I constantly feel out of place.”
“Day 11. I’ve lost a lot of games. I’m tired. I want to go home.”
“Day 38. New manager. Again. This team has lost 8 times in a row. This is hopeless.”
“Day 60. Another new manager. Some new faces in my team. Lucy plays really well. We’re winning more than usual.”
“Day 543. I think this will be my last entry. I’ve found my place. The team hasn’t changed for months. We’re unbeatable. I can’t describe how good it feels to have won. Every time we win, the crowd roars.”
“Day 5946. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out.”

Someone else had Stardew Valley. That game and Animal Crossing sound like great choices. But if we consider the long term outcomes, the repetition could become an unexpected psychological horror. Some games provide more exploration or variation but involve higher danger. Other games provide safety and higiher quality of life but involve lower variation.

As long as I can get out of the pilot’s chair to stay active, a space trucker sounds like a good deal. Some sectors would be safer than others so I would stay in those.

Nice base ^_^
1:30 If I lived in this base I would move the sofa in front of the window and read a book. I like the plant shelves.
4:35 I’d spent a lot of time relaxing in here.
08:00 Very spacious. Maybe those big windows could be used in the other living areas for more natural lighting.

This reminds me of Vanilla Sky.
spoiler
Kurt Russell’s character realises he is in a simulation and has an existential crisis. You lived your entire life to this point and from someone else’s perspective you’re basically an NPC. Dread.
