Reddit was awesome.
It’s sad what became of it. Jumped ships to use Lemmy as main now. |

I guess those insects look for “true love” out of the corks…dunno can we say that the males are looking for the same thing out of AI.

And I heard you’ll more likely die on your way to collect your win than actually win the lottery.
And I heard home is a very dangerous place, cos lots of people die because of it…or at it?

Care to clarify what is objectively bad? Like, an example
- Comment on Windows 11 just isn't enticing Windows 10 users to upgrade, and its market share is actually falling 6 months ago:
I think Win10 already is everything what I need.
I have gotten a small feel of 11 from my girlfriend’s laptop - it feels alright.
But I think I won’t have reasons to upgrade. I haven’t studied 11 at all so I don’t even know am I missing something lol
- Comment on I like this text. In which Lemmy community can I best share it ? Thanks. 6 months ago:
I think I’m gonna disagree with the fandom dying thing.
From a system’s perspective - if it exist for a reason, for someone to use it, and then they stop using it and go away, leaving it alone without any use, I’d see that system being abandoned, lost, or dead.
Then again - someone can come back to it and turn it “alive” or active again!

When I don’t find information through a search engine, I go asking it from people themselves.
Discord is an easy solution for me to find this information at that point. Much easier than generating yet another user account in a website I might use once in my life, while I already use discord a lot. By the way - you can search for messages you have sent and for messages that were pointed directly to you. Makes delving into old conversations much easier.
Of course Telegram and other services like that can help too.

Maybe the devs love keeping answering same questions over Discord? =D
- Comment on Is TV Dead? Global TV Shipments Hit a Decade Low in 2023 8 months ago:
I don’t remember when I watched the telly at home previously. Most of my entertainment are games and then some YouTube and movies not so often (lurking in friend’s online streaming services or googling “watch x for free”).
Stopped watching the television when too many ads erupted even between the movies that were my last interest in this service.
Most of my telly shows I see nowadays are at a friend’s place, and I’m every time annoyed about the amount of ads.

I bought a cat game where you need to find and click 100 of them! They had cute noises and every single cat was named!

So only shorts are delivered? Who not “normal” videos as well/instead?

Mine would probably be interesting activities on the computer (gaming for instance).
But when it comes to bad feels strong enough I cannot escape through gaming, then I talk or write about said feels.

I was pretty shook over one book I read, plunging me into sadness for about a week.
I listened at sad piano music and made many custom pictures with this website using the book (cover) themed art 😂 - Submitted 1 year ago to games@lemmy.world | 1 comment

Survive the game with the highest notoriety/ lowest reputation, across all factions and parties within the game.

Not saying that providing links is bad. Is good and in most cases even needed.
It’s just that I’m quite stubborn clicking open links that lead me outside 😅 I mostly read comments and I am happy when I see a bot posting a summary comment in some posts ❤

Oof. My sister did this in GTA. It was sooooo frustrating to watch at! 😂

Then there are stat reductions. Less HP/mana/armor etc. Or, alternatively, you can take a value from a stat and add it to another/other stats.
I once checked out the damages done by different bullets in the original DOOM and with the console I “traded” bullets for others based on those values.

Hehe. Some are more, some are less, and some for some peeps only😄
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
I haven’t tested these, but for ideation:
- Use the worst weapon through the game
- Do not use stat points through the game
- Only stealth
- Only guns blazing
- Sleep when it’s night (unless you’re night owl but then sleep during the day)
- Do chores in the game that a human needs to do in real life (spend time in the bathroom, pretend to shower, take a walk outside etc)
- Choose, do you handle the character’s movement or attacking. A friend/spouse does the other option
- Take off some extra brightness
- No potions/boosters
- No fast traveling

This made me think!
Would someone who was enjoying Internet services all the way from infancy (with no ad-blocking devices/apps), think that the amount of ads we have nowadays was the norm and that there was nothing weird or absurd about it?

Okay. Well, I never saw any indications of this. The previous time I used Akinator maybe 1-2 months ago.

I’ve noticed that sometimes he gets very close quickly but then drifts away to other questions that seem less relevant. But I don’t mind this myself. The excitement stays, whether he will guess what I think about or not - I don’t mind answering 60 questions or even 100.
- Comment on The Akinator Genie 1 year ago:
Money?? I’ve never seen that happen, at least not on the computer browser. This is the first time I hear about this.
