They should redirect US users to a walled garden that says “Trump is against the ban. Vote Trump 2024” and see how quickly they reverse this. Oh political interference? Trump is all about that too.
Oh man, imagine what hellscape awaits us under a second Trump administration. Glory to Arstotzka!

My 32gb machine is still running windows 10 and I have been dreading having to switch. I figured that the 8gb was the reason why the other was sluggish now I’m not so sure. I haven’t upgraded my personal devices yet either. I hate that they keep trying to reinvent the wheel with the “metro” backend that they built with windows 8. I saw that even the devices and printers control panel was fully moved into the settings app… Thanks for the reply, I will probably try to hold out a little longer …

How much ram does it have? 8gb? Genuinely curious. I have a work laptop with 8gb and one with 32…

Rollers seem to be difficult to swap. I did manage to combine two together to make a working unit once.
But that’s noted.
Lasers seem to have more things that can be maintained in a documented way.

At least you can replace parts. When is the last inkjet that had something user replaceable?
Maybe the print head?
Laser Printers are made for businesses and long lifetime generally.
Anyway HP has turned me butter.
I love my HP LaserJet but it’s like 7 years old at this point…

I found myself in a huge echo chamber over Brexit. World news on Reddit had me believing that it would never happen.
And yeah, I follow someone for Ukraine news on YouTube. He’s pushed some theories that proved to be untrue so I guess that I have to do my own fact checking. Overall he seems to be good, but he seldomly talks about times that he was wrong.

In general, these things are zipping around the earth at 17,000 mph. There’s 5,504 of them. Space is already dangerous with all of the space garbage in order. If these were to collide it could easily make getting things into orbit due to the debris and the chain reaction if the debris caused more debris from impact. Space garbage really is something we don’t have a solution for.

Then why complain about what another person decides to waste time on the Internet while you’re wasting time on the Internet? I’m replying to you while taking a shit so that’s multitasking.

You’ve hit the nail on the head.
The Internet is fine, until you try to monetize it.
You can grow with membership, donations, site perks, but it’s slow growth.
Or you can go for a big check. And sell questionably sourced boner pills, online therapy, and vpns to obscure the fact that you use the site.
These sites are all great until people who invested expect a return.
Time for a government run social media platform?
Or maybe something similar to PBS but for social media? Government grants but independently run and crowd funded.
Free speech but not freedom to hate.
