O’Neill (two Ls) absolutely would not be just sitting in a bar playing darts. He’d be poking around where he should be, telling Daniel to ask his annoyingly humanitarian questions to make sure DS9 isn’t some weird hidden prison camp (anymore) and probably trying to step in to help assist against the dominion. If it’s Mitchell, above still applies but he’d also be participating. I assume it would have to be Mitchell if the Atlantis team is able to appear, but hey it’s time travel baby! Rules go byebye. Sha’re and Drey’ac could show up too.
Daniel is always translating for the group, and we only get to hear other languages spoken when Daniel has trouble translating. It’s their version of handwaving why everyone speaks English instead of handwaving as a universal translator (that wouldn’t work if you aren’t on a ship or don’t have a comm badge or are on a planet where no tech works, but everyone still understands each other anyway)
And Carter would be having so much fun trying to figure out how all the tech works, I think she would demand to see the chief engineer and science officer. Things could get weird if she’s read the Atlantis mission files yet.
And if it’s the Atlantis team showing up, they’re probably going to assume someone figured out Laiden’s plans, saved Cowen, and now they’re plotting revenge on a repurposed mining station from a long dead civilization.
Man there are so many actors that have been in both franchises, it’s hard to pick which would be the most interesting in-character interaction to see.
Jellico/O’Neill would be hilarious. The Nox could sure teach quark a thing or two. I’d love to see Q come face to face with Simmons. Teyla rounding a corner and running into Tucker would certainly be a fight worth watching.
I wonder, would Teal’c even recognize Ishta as tpol?

I’m glad the EMH finally settled on a name.
Richard Woolsey is pretty good. I’d probably choose a different first name, because some little blond shit with clone daddy issues might mockingly call me dick but maybe I’m just imagining things.
Would you consider “American Liason to the IOA and eventual leader of the Ancient city of Atlantis” a step up or down from Chief Medical Officer?

I also am not joking about whether something should be allowed to be dismissed.
What is a joke, however, is the meme version of “no war in Ba Sing Se” which is what he initially got mad about.
I’d agree on the core element. They’re constantly questioning what is and isn’t one thing or another. They literally have a talk with data about “what IS art” in an episode.

Same. Give me a variety of things to see besides left turns and angry looking small-framed people.
I’m more of a bill nye guy myself though. Racing never held my interest for long, so for me to keep watching voluntarily they have to be doing things.
Hilariously though, I love playing street racing games.

The question is what do you do with your last wish, now that you contain all the knowledge of the cosmos.
Maybe there IS a way to wish for infinite wishes without it backfiring on you.

At some point, the people who run a thing no longer know what it’s about. At that time, I think it’s okay to ignore what is “official Canon”
Disney killed the entire EU to retell the same story we already saw 50 years ago. As far as I’m concerned, it’s okay to ignore that. And I say this as a fan of Mando, and kenobi.
Honestly there’s no point getting bent out of shape about it regardless of your stance on canon/not since it’s all made up anyway.
Maybe the real Canon was the profit we made along the way.

… Where visually, all I see is “left turn. Mild shuffling of cars. Left turn.”
Accompanied by thousands and thousands of advertisements and loud noises. Not that f1 is much better with ads and loud noises, but at least there’s more than left turns.
I get that people enjoy it, I get why they enjoy it. I just don’t. I’m not even really a fan of f1, but I know if I had to choose, I’d choose f1.
Apologies to all the Nascar fans here.

I can’t imagine all the materials sciences that go on behind the scenes.

I’ll take F1 over Nascar any day.
Disclaimer: I’ve never sat down to watch either, but if the choices are “turn left” or “winding, twisting course” I think I’m going with the one that has more variety.

I literally just rewatched this episode not two hours ago.
Boims in the back, absolutely dying from a tiny amount, and mariner over here pouring out half the bottle.
My wife said she would be boimler, because she’s super vanilla about spicy things. Vanilla might be too spicy for boimler though.

I’ve had a Dracaena Marginata for about 4 or 5 years now, I’ve had periods where I’ve forgotten to water it for a few weeks, and it’s still going strong. This year I repotted it to let the roots grow out more, and honestly I should have done it sooner, but I didn’t think it was doing this well.
I’d like to make it grow more straight upright but it’s getting lopsided, even though I’ve rotated it every month or so.
I specifically chose it because I heard they were hard to kill, and wanted something I didn’t need to be too attentive to if life and depression got in the way.
It has certainly lived up to its hardy reputation.

To be fair, when she does fix it in four seconds, she’ll have already told Janeway that she’s going to have to shove the whole crystal mass by hand, and it will require all hands working triple shifts to fix all the problems doing so will create.
Then she shoves the whole thing, and spends the next two weeks fixing all the damage.
Janeway sips her coffee after a long night of rest and looks upon her haggard crew and Congratulates them for a job well done.
She then finds a random ensign to promote in front of Harry.

Oh, for sure they made tons of mistakes, I just thought of that one as the most glaringly obvious “framing issue”. I’ve seen all the episodes as aired and as on DVD, with commentary and special features, because I’m a super nerd, and given your pfp and the fact you know how they framed it tells me you know a thing or two yourself!
If I remember correctly, they framed it for wide-screen knowing that in the future it could be put out in other formats than TV, so wanted widescreen from the start. Bts footage shows the framing boxes for tv/wide on the monitors.
I love catching mistakes and weird choices in my shows. For instance: in Firefly, Alan Tudyk is pretending to hold the controls of Serenity because they couldn’t have him up in the normal spot for framing reasons.
But yeah, I’m actually rewatching SGA now and their weird focus issues (and let’s be honest, terrible backgrounds) are especially bad in season 1.

Funny anecdote about aspect ratios: sometimes TV shows were put out on DVD in a wider aspect than originally aired. This can cause some issues from time to time…
One of my favorite shows, Stargate SG-1, has a particularly funny scene where two characters walk by a small alcove for a doorway while walking through a ship, and a third character, Sam, pops up behind them as a Hologram to help them out.
In the wide dvd shot, you can clearly see her crouched, hiding in the doorway, waiting to pop out behind the camera operator. The original 4:3, you can’t see into the alcove as the camera passes.
There are a few other things here and there that are mostly just actors reacting to various things (or rather, NOT reacting in most cases) but that’s the one that stands out most.
