- Comment on Women STEM students up to twice as likely as non-STEM students to have experienced sexism 10 months ago:
They probably haven’t. My experience was a lot of these guys were on the spectrum and the only social understanding of women they have is media. I would say the sexism is very malicious from the faculty, but from fellow students a lot of them this is the first time they’ve been allowed away from their helicopter parents and to begin learning social skills, sadly at your detriment.
- Comment on Honda debuts new global EV series, Honda Zero, coming in 2026 10 months ago:
Practical EVs exist too. It’s an open market so there will be something for everyone I’m sure. If you really hate EV design you can buy the conversion kits for a classic.

Styles are changing, I guess they’re focus grouping it and people want cars from blade runner. No longer requiring a radiator or exhaust has actually produced some interesting designs.

No, how dare you throw shade at this fictional character from 30 years ago, don’t you know she was abused?!

The gamer careful with his money has already bought Elite Dangerous on sale for less though. Even $45 for what is currently being offered is embarrassing.
- Comment on YSK : Moral values of being nice, forgiving and generosity are justified by game theory to be successful strategies 10 months ago:
Because they conform to the prisoners dilemma, they set up mutually beneficial relationships to get to where they are. That’s what jobs are. “wahh wahh they don’t pay enough” maybe not to what we would want, but obviously they’re not slaves, so it’s working to an extent. Business deals, collaboration, that’s how they scale their businesses for them to be valued so highly.
This is also how the West has largely operated their foreign policy and why that’s working pretty well too, with the EU, NATO and such. People are more often than not cooperating. Doomer online people are just blind to it.

I hope we do pull off a 90th minute 720 backflip into futurist utopia, that would be mega. But until people start doing basic stuff like voting in their interest, I’m going to prepare for the worst.

To be even more doomer, people will have to stop living their lives when we run out of everything, so we might as well start winding down now.

That’s grasping at straws. The Holocaust is tangentially related. It’s not doing anything for people who don’t believe.

If you think ‘get a girlfriend’ is some deeply misogynistic language indicative of how terrible the patriarchy is, you need to get some perspective.
This was a throwaway joke about struggling to find a girlfriend. There is nothing toxic or dangerous going on here. They’re not blaming an outer system. Lots of men do genuinely have problems getting the confidence and self esteem to approach women, calling them whiny assholes is not very helpful.
Tirade against incels elsewhere.
- Comment on The barbieheimer debate rages 11 months ago:
All men struggling to find a girlfriend are hateful misogynists? No, so it doesn’t help to immediately brand them as such.
- Comment on The barbieheimer debate rages 11 months ago:
I would say a joke about how hard it can be for people to get a girlfriend immediately setting of incel alarms for you is being overly sensitive. It’s a very relatable and common experience for a lot of young men, so it is ripe for comedy. I guess struggling to get a girlfriend can technically make you involuntarily celibate, but I don’t think that was what you meant.
- Comment on The barbieheimer debate rages 11 months ago:
No, because Oppenheimer was not an instructional video on nuclear drills. Not that there are any; if nukes successfully hit, it’s the lottery if you survive healthy enough to continue humanity. I’m not sure how Oppenheimer is meant to change that fact. Good job reading my comment with zero comprehension I guess.
- Comment on The barbieheimer debate rages 11 months ago:
Like most Nolan films, it is pseudo-intellectual tripe that allows people to think they’re smart because they can follow the plot of a simple Hollywood blockbuster produced for the lowest common denominator. Its cinematography is like they’re making a tiktok to hold your atrophied attention span.
The fact that you refer to the plot as ‘the most important and impressive complex storyline ever’ portrays your age, how little film you watch, and probably why we shouldn’t believe your take on either Barbie, Oppenheimer, or anything else.
- Comment on YSK that chiropractors are not medical doctors and "Systematic reviews... have found no evidence that chiropractic manipulation is effective" 11 months ago:
Acupuncture can also fuck people up. Unsurprisingly it’s dangerous to have someone with no medical training inserting long needles into your body.
Anyone benefiting from chiropractic probably just needs a real physiotherapist.

I have my music on my server and can stream it like Spotify. The frontend user experience of Plex, Jellyfin and Emby is literally just like Netflix, the untrained eye wouldn’t tell the difference.
- Comment on PlayStation To Delete A Ton Of TV Shows Users Already Paid For 11 months ago:
Yes I personally use Emby now, but I would recommend Jellyfin these days instead of Plex.
- Comment on PlayStation To Delete A Ton Of TV Shows Users Already Paid For 11 months ago:
I went back to mp3s and flacs for my music a few years ago. And quickly followed that up with my own Plex server. Two of the best decisions I’ve ever made. If you’re remotely tech savvy it takes no time at all and having every tv show, film, music, video that has ever released on all of my devices at any time within seconds is pretty sweet, for near-free
- Comment on YouTube Says New 5-Second Video Load Delay Is Supposed to Punish Ad Blockers, Not Firefox Users 11 months ago:
That’s pretty presumptive. And pretty unlikely as you’ve shown yourself to be very naive about how advertising works. If you have any qualifications in it, your initial confusion shouldn’t have been there.
- Comment on YouTube Says New 5-Second Video Load Delay Is Supposed to Punish Ad Blockers, Not Firefox Users 11 months ago:
You need to inform yourself about advertising. Go and look up Edward Bernays. You literally can’t stop ads affecting you, except by eliminating them. You think you’re being a critical consumer, but you’re right where they want you.
- Comment on YouTube Says New 5-Second Video Load Delay Is Supposed to Punish Ad Blockers, Not Firefox Users 11 months ago:
So you want to constantly be a slave to your consumerist impulses as you uncritically consume everything thrown at you, despite all the evidence that these companies can literally manipulate your perception of reality through targeted political advertising and echo chambers? Enjoy your terrifying dystopia, but at least you think you’re getting a ‘local deal’ so who cares, right?
