Kroger actively wants their employees to do this. (Source: worked in this hellhole for 13 years. Would choose homelessness/starvation over going back)
Its a psycholigical trick to make you think its cheaper than it is. Intended to make you think subconciously “It can’t be that expensive if they treat it this poorly.”
I do think they picked the wrong product for this treatment considering shrink and high price. It should be shit like dvds and other durable products.

If you have a cutter and cloner theres almost no reason to not grab a SmartPro or Autel. It’d pay for itself in less than a year.

Assuming you’ve got a sidewinder cutter it’s worth researching GM’s onboard programming. You can do most vehicles older than 2023 without a programmer.

Hello fellow locksmith. We’ve basically given up on selling residential Smart Locks and Padlocks in our shop. For pretty much the same reasons you’ve described. Our prices would be outrageously higher.
Fortunately we deal in car keys, and dealerships still give us plenty of breathing room to beat them on parts, service, and lead times.

There is a mirror left on the moon you can shoot a laser at and have it bounced back to you, no other celestial object can do that. Its also foundational knowledge for gps.

They’ve gone so far as to claim responsibility.

This lawsuit makes me feel extremely validated in my fight with my ex about not letting our kid play roblox unsupervised. Same with letting them use tiktok/youtube.

Jesus, the coffee was hot lawsuit was about 3rd degree burns and elderly woman in the passenger seat of a stopped car sustained requiring skin grafts. She sued after McDonalds refused to cover her medical bills, and discovery revealed that McDonalds recklessly kept thier coffee hotter than their competitors despite the known saftey risks because it bumped thier bottom line. They had recorded complaints 100s of other injured customers.
She was awarded millions of dollars in punative damages by the jury. The number was based on one days sales of coffee by McDonalds.

Theres so many ways to check for that that don’t require decompiling the app.
You can straight compare the downloaded binary with a locally compiled binary to see if they match.
You can check the hash of app. Changing some lines of code and getting the same hash is so unlikely to be effectively impossible.
If for some reason Signal decided to do what you claim, it’d destroy thier credibility, be caught almost immediately, and only work once before the whole project gets forked, and would be true of any alternative.

Thats the more appropriate lesson.

I wonder if you can trick the Ai into serving you an ad and then convincing it to trash the company, and then meme on it, ruining the revenue source.
- Comment on Google Says Its New AI Shopping Protocol Will Not Use Data to Overcharge Consumers 2 months ago:
Coding AI will do things you expressly forbid it from doing that irreversibly harm you. I can’t imagine shopping AI is going to be any better, between buying bullshit you didn’t ask it to, to spending all your money until your card declines instead of adhering to the budget you gave it.

I once tried making a similar argument to a game warden about only hunting deer during the day. They were not appreciative of the take.
This was after I hit a deer with my car while driving home from Thanksgiving, it was not a good time.
