Same here. Dope music though

Got roped back into Tarkov because of the PvE mode. (I got the EoD edition on sale a while ago)

If you’re implying that there is some element here that justifying dragging the guy out back and beating him senseless after he was caught, by all means, elaborate

Or all the backpacks that will supposedly last your entire life. The companies that actually mean it have them under warranty for several decades though (or even until the actual end of your life but it requires some form of registration)

The UI looks more “slick”, and it is censored, so your portfolio or whatever you want to showcase isn’t displayed alongside some MLP porn or pregnant Sonic comics. Which doesn’t mean there isn’t tons of “artistic nudity” on the site though, last time I checked.
I’m not an artist myself but I know the artists in my industry (videogames) love to use it

I’d argue all the humans left when artstation became big. All my artists friends used to upload their (non porn)work to deviantart before artstation was popular. But banning the porn was the first nail in the coffin for sure.

Idk about the mangas but it’s definitely my favorite anime between these two (and I love one punch man so that says something)

IIRC gorillas are indeed pretty chill if you respect their territorial instincts, as opposed to, say, a chimp that might try to kill you more or less on a whim

I’m not exactly the age or attractiveness that most people expect in a touring musician, either.
Just start making IDM. Looking weird and/or unattractive seems to be a requirement (and, don’t get me wrong, I’m here for it)
- Comment on After announcing increased prices, Spotify to Pay Songwriters About $150 Million Less Next Year 1 month ago:
Spotify’s model is doomed to fail over time.
This right here. At the very least, unless they are not beholden to shareholders, it will eventually reach market saturation and will have to cut artists’ share, hike prices up, or add more paywalls to keep the line going up

Quite the opposite imo, if there was a definite “largest number”, it would be an engine limitation. It is literally an actual issue with numbers representations in computers.
Now, some aspect of quantum physics really feel like IRL engine limitations though

- Comment on nuclear fear-mongering is a ploy by Big oil 1 month ago:
Germany can do that because they opened new coal plants, plus they can buy cheap (mostly nuclear) electricity from France when their renewables are performing suboptimally and they need to meet high demand
- Comment on Windows 11 Start menu ads are now rolling out to everyone 1 month ago:
I’m considering it even more seriously right now. I had my eyes set on Fedora, but apparently I shouldn’t, because they are ditching official support for X11, and I need it because I have an Nvidia GPU ? I was also looking at pop OS, but I also saw people recommending against Ubuntu on Lemmy, I don’t remember why though. Do you have a recommendation ?

Windows 11 (and how much I like my experience with the Steam deck, if I’m being honest) has me seriously reconsidering switching to Linux for my gaming desktop

Then my advice would be to also advance the story. I did my usual thing of exploring and mostly clearing areas before advancing the story and as a result I got a bit bored in the late game, because as you progress, the portions of the map locked behind story progression get smaller and smaller.

The music in slay the spire is perfectly fine but it gets repetitive after a while. But it’s also a great game to play while listening to podcasts so it’s a non issue
- Comment on Fairbuds are Fairphone’s proof that we really could make better tiny gadgets 2 months ago:
Yeah that comment was too concise, which often comes off as condescending according to my friends. Also I used the wrong term because I meant earbuds specifically.
Which is not to say that earbuds all sound bad, it’s just that imo, when you’re starting to look at (especially Bluetooth) earbuds that sound on par with a good pair of, say 150€ over ear cabled headphones geared for sound quality, imo it’s too expensive for something that I’m not gonna use extensively (because I’d much rather use over ear headphones for prolonged use, if only for comfort)
- Comment on Fairbuds are Fairphone’s proof that we really could make better tiny gadgets 2 months ago:
I’m not a native English speaker so, yeah, I used the wrong term because I forgot that the word “earbuds” exists. But what I meant is simply that sound quality is not the selling point for earbuds.
If I go for earbuds I want them to have good battery life and be comfortable because I have weirdly shaped ear canals, and I’m only going for “decent” sound because the ones that actually sound on par with a good pair of over ear headphones are like twice the price, at best. Also, yeah, wired is usually my go to for quality. My favorite so far on that front are my ATH M50X but they are not super comfortable for extended use because of my big ass ears so I’m still looking for the holy grail in that price range.
- Comment on Fairbuds are Fairphone’s proof that we really could make better tiny gadgets 2 months ago:
Personally I don’t really give a fuck about headphones quality unless it’s particularly shitty, because if I want quality I’m using one of my headsets (preferably one that doesn’t use Bluetooth), but ok.

They’re headphones. They sound ok at best.
- Comment on How does the day-to-day work of not wearing shoes in the house? 2 months ago:
Old-timey style housekeepers are basically only a thing for the ultra rich, but hiring someone to clean your house and/or do some laundry is quite common in the upper middle class
- Comment on How does the day-to-day work of not wearing shoes in the house? 2 months ago:
Interesting. Here in France the “bourgeois” thing is usually to not have your guests take their shoes off inside (because you’re not the one doing the cleaning later)

My dad has a few pairs of boat shoes for this reason, and my mom uses her old pairs of Birkenstocks.
- Comment on How does the day-to-day work of not wearing shoes in the house? 2 months ago:
You may not like it, but the easy answer to this question is Crocs. You buy them in bulk, leave them by the door, and slip them on to do your thing outside. Or I guess sabots if you are oldschool and French (they pair very well with some type of slippers we call “charentaises” that were originally made as inserts for sabots. So basically if you are using this ancient combo you don’t even have to take your slippers off to go outside).
For the bike ride you would obviously get some proper “outside” shoes. Although if you have dedicated gardening shoes you could choose to keep them on if you don’t care about looks (and if my grandparents were of any indication, I’d say that if you have grandkids, you don’t).

I get your point but you’ve got it backwards imo. Detailed reviews come out whenever, especially if it’s a single guy doing all the work. Pre-release reviews are, at best, rushed (very few publishers will give review keys more than two weeks before release, and you usually have several releases to cover each week), and at worse, more or less dictated by the publisher (lest your publication get blacklisted and you never get a pre release key from that publisher ever again.
