True, but I don’t think many of them would say that to your face (including musk who I assume would pretend to be neolib, who do kind of have a hate boner for basic research, at least in my country)

Will do. I’m basically one decent trailer away from impulse buying it anyway. As a fellow game developer, allow me to say: I truly wish things will get better for you guys.

Yeah but sometimes it might not because that is not the main goal ! Useless, I tell you !

Neolib idiots don’t see the (immense) value of fundamental research because it doesn’t directly generate profits, more at 11

Also, a lot of kids don’t have the slightest idea of what the “save” icon in their apps represents. They just know it’s the save icon because it’s everywhere

Still addicted (planning to work on that after I’ve dealt with my employment situation). I always try to avoid forcing my smoke in people’s faces and I support this measure.

Hmmm, okay. Added in dragonflight, apparently.
Well I guess I can finally shut up about this incredibly minor issue
- Comment on World of Warcraft adds $90 mount to in game store 3 weeks ago:
Oh yeah, I actually remember that from the last time I relapsed (Legion). I was wondering if I hallucinated that workaround… But it’s still just that : a stupid workaround. It baffles me that it is seemingly impossible for them to implement a keybind that targets the nearest “interactive” npc in range
- Comment on World of Warcraft adds $90 mount to in game store 3 weeks ago:
The other (not so bad) thing I don’t like about it is that…I hate those mounts. They’re HUGE and people just AFK on them blocking NPCs I want to talk to.
TFW the year is 2024 AD and blizzard still has not properly addressed this

Yeah, well, if that mf does actually exist, I’ll feel real vindicated as I scream in agony for eternity, for holding the opinion that a God that needs to threaten me into worshipping him is not benevolent at all !
- Comment on Why do cell phones have a data limit but home internet doesn't? 3 weeks ago:
Found the American. In France that would be a huge ripoff compared to what the other providers have to offer. Like, literally any VDSL offer is around 30€/month (or under) and no caps

As far as I know, right now the main problem with flying cars is that they are nowhere near as idiot-proof as a normal car, and don’t really solve any transportation problem since most countries’ air regulations agencies would require them to exclusively take off and land in airports… Where you can usually find tons of planes that can go much further (and are much more cost effective, as you pointed out)

Source : am french. I love me some American coffee, but the default here is the espresso. You can also get a “long espresso” which is basically a diluted espresso, and is still not the same as an American (and this is where my coffee knowledge stops, so I’m not sure what the differences are exactly). I also have some Italian family and they would probably disown me if I said that the American is the “default” black coffee
