It really does lol. I wasn’t too concerned about this project and have been focusing on the next phase plus a few other projects in the pipeline, but knowing this really helped. My mom is having surgery tomorrow so I’ll have to take care of her for the next few days, plus my wife’s car was throwing some nasty codes that had me stressed. At least now I know work is in a good place as I take a few days off to take care of my mom and tinker with a car.

End of life hardware replacement at work. Deadline for the project is in a few weeks. Our engineering team just sent out a new BIOS upgrade for devices that get them up to TPM 2.0 which is the main requirement for the project. We went from ~5 completions a week to under one now to stay on track. Wasn’t really too worried about it but it will make work a piece of cake for a little.

Final Crisis had some of this with Thought Robot superman. Iirc they included 3D glasses so you could see Superman reach out to you in our realm. Check out some other Grant Morrison works for trippy meta fiction (pls read Animal Man)
- Comment on what lemmy web app do you use and why? 6 months ago:
Does it still work pretty well? I tried it for awhile but ran into some issues I can’t remember early on. If I could get close to RIF for Lemmy, my battery would drain a lot quicker

Ehhh I was hopeful at it would lead to more EU style laws over users data and privacy in the US, then I stopped and thought for a minute and realized it wouldn’t happen
- Comment on Amazon builds AI model to optimize packaging 6 months ago:
So this is good to reduce packaging waste and probably fitting more packages on trucks/planes, reducing emissions I am guessing. But how much power does running it cost and how is the power being generated? Is it a net loss for their global emission, or is it just making Amazon save money? I’m still pretty dumb at this stuff

- Comment on Suggest me some games overlooked on PS3 platform (±emulation) 9 months ago:
I am not versed in PS3 emulation, but Noby Noby Boy was made by the Katamari creator and was a fun PSN title to mess around with. Not really that big/long of a game but I remember having a lot of fun with it and not hearing a lot about it at the time.

I believe I would be fine on the network part, I am just guessing writing them to an SSD cache drive on my NAS would be fine? Im currently writing to the SSD and have a move script run twice a day to the HDDs
