Because the Democrats are deferring to tradition while their opponents refuse to even follow rules - they’re not interested in winning, and concede to the fascists every damn time.

Breathing - famous for being optional for those that would like to live.
Yes, there have only been around 3 people killed by them (largely because they’re shy, aquatic, and somewhat uncommon), and intervention can be made to stop them from killing you, but they’re one of the most toxic animals on the planet, and are unquestionably deadly.

- Comment on Microsoft fires employees who organized vigil for Palestinians killed in Gaza 5 months ago:
Palestinians killed in Gaza aren’t terrorists - they’re the victims of a genocide.
Since October 7th, 44,000 Palestinians have been killed compared to 1,706 Israelis. The stats over the past few decades don’t deviate much from this ratio. Israel is killing many times more Palestinians, and a higher ratio of children, they’re seizing land, holding many times more hostages, and committing and proudly documenting countless warcrimes.
Does Palestine have the right to defend itself like Israel? What would that look like to you? I ask mostly because you’re actively supporting an ongoing genocide while blaming the victims of that genocide while applying inconsistent, nonsensical standards across the two groups.

Nor does capitalism to be fair…
It’s certainly… something.

How about we save the money by not giving the police literal attack dogs to maul people with… Maybe just start ripping budget away from the police that insist on buying up surplus military equipment, ensuring that the only tool they have to solve any problem is a gun. Nah - the people that relentlessly bleat about freedom just loooove that shiny new boot leather taste.

Because capitalism. The shareholders thirst - they will have their returns. Common sense, decency, legality and morality are all roughly shoved aside in service of “line go up”.

Thanks for taking the time to write that up!
That all makes sense - though unless there’s info in missing, I’d argue the woman should have been responsible for managing her own allergies rather than her husband, but that’s beside the point, and I understand your position on speaking ill of the dead.
Whatever the case, it does certainly seem like the truth was steamrolled by a good story - though I do think the waiver arguments underpinning that side of the case will wind up getting pressure tested in pretty short order.
Thanks again.

For sure benefit of those that haven’t seen the LegalEagle video, why was Disney likely to be released from the suit?
- Comment on I have the weirdest aesthetic preferences 5 months ago:
Yeah - that’d be my guess for an over-complicated code with minimal info.
- Comment on I have the weirdest aesthetic preferences 5 months ago:
The complexity is likely a product of redundancy and error correction in the QR code rather than making it unique. You begin to run into issues with camera resolution and whatnot, but in theory those codes are likely more reliable.
