- Comment on How are Americans so outgoing and extroverted and how can I become the same? 1 day ago:
It helps to have a “script” for interactions. Small talk is often the same formula of topics repeated in different situations. Learn to ask questions, but have answers to those same questions ready if you are asked. Don’t get too personal or deep with it, small talk is meant to be pleasant but shallow.

Not defending it, but it’s supposed to be a copy of the one that was carved out of wood by a chainsaw. So this one looks terrible, but the guest one did too lol
- Comment on Seattle Sets the Stage for Automatic Traffic Camera Expansion - The Urbanist 2 weeks ago:
A little over a decade ago I slid to an icy stop as the yellow light came on in a turn only lane, about an hour north of Seattle. The guy in front of me tried to stop and ended up going through the intersection as the light turned red. I got a ticket with a photo of the intersection, but you could clearly see my car was stopped a good four feet behind of the line. It was dismissed, but I was pretty mad that I even had to fight that.
I don’t know if the tech has improved or if they have people double checking tickets before they are issued now, but I can’t say my experience made me feel positive about the automated ticket system lol
- Comment on How would I describe myself? 1 month ago:
“Chilean-French with a few stops between”, so you don’t need to explain your life story unless someone is curious? If I understand French well enough, that is just a twist on what you said.

This pains me to say this, because I am on disability, but I imagine the will be a lot of angry people when Musk destroys social security. I honestly wonder how the media will spin payment diaruptions to keep the populace complacent

Does anyone know how to get endnote or a similar citation manager to work in Libre Office?
- Comment on Is there a good way to buy chrome lettering in the same font as the brand's original lettering on the back of the car? 1 month ago:
Do you need it to be raised lettering? If not, that seems like a very simple thing that anyone with a cricut or silhouette could make. Maybe search Etsy for custom decals if you don’t know anyone personally with one of those machines

- Comment on Is there something I can do about it? [Phalaenopsis orchid] 2 months ago:
There’s too much nitrogen in the substrate, going by leaf discoloration. I would exchange half the water, so you don’t lower the level so much that it shocks it.

Dodge was owned by DaimlerChrysler in 99. I only know that because my family was in the car business and weren’t happy about that merger

We were in the “Great Recession” by the time I was an adult needing a normal job. It absolutely sucked, and I feel for all the young adults going through a similar thing.

Unfortunately I’m very rural,so I can’t shop around. I live in a city, but it’s a joke to call it that. A competing service would come from two hours drive away, to put it in perspective.
The only tree is not really in a position to cause the issue, and it’s also the wrong type. It’s at least 70 years old and a conifer, but I’ll check when I find a plumber anyway thank you
- Comment on Can I DIY water backwashing through my basement drain? 7 months ago:
It’s literally a basement drain just before it exits my house. Everything drains before it hits this point, if that makes any sense? I have no idea of direction, because I have the corner house, but tbh if I pry up the cover somehow it’ll be worth exploring

I know you’re right. I just really didn’t want this to be the case after having to spend 20+k in two years of owning this hous

Mostly I was worried about trying to roto the line myself. I got nothing from routing the line from the upstairs
