‘Free speech’ around here is still dependent on the mods, exactly like it was in Reddit.
- Comment on How your showerhead and fridge got roped into the culture wars 6 days ago:
As more and more cities across the nation are privatizing their water systems, the idea that they want to remove water flow restrictions on shower heads makes more sense. Anytime public services are privatized, our costs go up, and that privatized profit also goes up.

This isn’t the first go round with Internet censorship. There’s been dozens of bills over the last decade trying to do the same thing.

I was born during Nixon. Democrats talk about climate change while doing nothing to mitigate it. Biden’s proxy wars in Ukraine and Gaza has been a huge contribution to future climate issues. The material conditions of the marginalized still suck when a Dem is in office. They don’t care about them either.

Well, you know, they’ve tried nothing, and they’re all out of it ideas.
- Comment on What is the progressives current platform? What is the oldest example of the progressive platform thst you know of? 4 weeks ago:
Progressive’s current platform is what used to be George W. Bush’s. Every election, they keep shifting further and further to the right.

- Comment on Democratic Senators Team Up With MAGA To Hand Trump A Censorship Machine 5 weeks ago:
Of course they did, because that’s who Democrats are. They are controlled opposition that only talk about opposing Republicans, in the end they legislate exactly like them.

- Comment on Please tell me I'm not going nuts 1 month ago:
Dems are complicit in what’s happening. They knew what would happen if he got elected and instead of pushing to gather a stronger voter base they lurched to the right and ignored their base.

It’s the patriarchal nature of Christianity, They can’t have the idea that women are teachers, leaders, that women have roles that are not subservient.
- Comment on Is anyone else getting a bit of schadenfreude from the news each day? 2 months ago:
Liberals that accepted and denied a genocide occuring in Gaza have the nerve to call other people low information.
- Comment on Is anyone else getting a bit of schadenfreude from the news each day? 2 months ago:
They’ve always been collaborators, fascism can’t rise to the surface without a liberal party enabling it. Voters have the delusion that their security is only an election away so they will never rise up against the system they benefit so much from.
- Comment on Is anyone else getting a bit of schadenfreude from the news each day? 2 months ago:
Liberals drinking up ‘Trump supporter tears’ is why democrats can’t be trusted with class solidarity. All the liberals still crying about trump winning will never acknowledge their own party’s role in getting him elected. The DNC doesnt have their heads up their asses, this is who they are, enablers of right wing fascism.

- Comment on Modding the Gulf of Mexico Back 2 months ago:
geographers and cartographers don’t decide what to name a place or get orders from states by fiat
Should we also refer to Texas as Mexico since that’s what it was called at one time?
- Comment on Modding the Gulf of Mexico Back 2 months ago:
The government has been at war with everyone in working class for decades. Their sole job is to protect the interests of the oligarchs, blue and red
- Comment on Modding the Gulf of Mexico Back 2 months ago:
And every other mapping source out there that currently still labels it Gulf of Mexico will eventually change it to Gulf of America because that’s what it is recognized by the federal government. Name changes never prevent people from using the well-established name, a majority of users on X still refer to it as Twitter. It will always be Twitter.
- Comment on Modding the Gulf of Mexico Back 2 months ago:
Who cares? How often does someone actually see the name of the Gulf when using maps?
