Sounds similar to the battery donut labs claims to have made.

I agree that the comment was rude. Specifically with the “barely tested” asumption/accusation.

Well… They quickly patched it when it went public. It was reported to them a month ago.

Emerald can be pretty fun when included in an Archipelago run. If your finish criteria is after Norman, it can be a longer playthrough though, since you need so many specific items to finish the game.

Maybe they’re building containers every day? Idk. Can’t think of how that’d blow up into thousands without some sort of VM or containerization dependency.

OK? I was just commenting on the state of the situation, there’s nothing to “deal with”?
- Comment on Discord delays global age verification rollout after backlash - Dexerto 1 week ago:
This is just not true at all, only recently have alternatives started to spring up that even get close to the number of features and level of polish that discord has (note, discord still has plenty of issues, I’m not saying its perfect)
- Comment on Rocket League is adding Easy Anti-Cheat, Psyonix say Linux will still be supported with Proton 3 weeks ago:
Some people have created impressive machine-learning-powered bots that can consistently get to the top rank in ranked play. Some high skill level players have been complaining about those bots recently, seems this may be a step in countering that?
Also UE5 is a mess, them still being on UE4 is a sign to me that the devs at least have some voice and pushed back on the transition.

- Comment on Linux gamers on Steam finally cross over the 3% mark 4 months ago:
I’ve definitely seen angry people respond to windows bug reports on various apps. Is the Linux community worse? Anectodally, I would agree with you. Its also fine to have a preference, and I understand needing to besmirch your own because some people on Lemmy are toxic particularly around open source projects, but like, I try to not stoop to that level. I am happy youve generally had a good time bug fixing in Windows, unfortunately I switched away because my graphics drivers regularly crashed on Windows and I’ve never had said issue on Bazzite. Could it be my fault somewhere? Sure. I’ve had a better time since I left, though. Guess I’m a fart sniffer. Just wanted to voice that not everyone has had this experience, is all. Have a good one, hope you cheer up.

Protonvpn has a flatpack. Check your distro’s app store for it.

- Comment on Qualcomm unveil the Snapdragon X2 Elite and Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme, the fastest and most efficient processors for Windows PCs 5 months ago:
Okay, outside of the title every time they say “fastest” they follow it up with “at iso power” which apparently means equivalent or same. So they’re basically saying they’re the most efficient twice, but they creatively used the word faster like they are an industry leader in more than one metric when they’re not.
Also I have a feeling their claims won’t even be accurate if someone installs windows on a recent macbook, which is why I suppose they are also only comparing to windows native devices.

It really does seem to be a platform change unrelated to content or audience sentiment, people on this platform just love an opportunity to hate on certain people. The amount of hatred on display here is gross, tbh.

- Comment on Backblaze is slow for Nextcloud. Any recommendations for faster s3 compatible storage? 6 months ago:
I haven’t used nextcloud in years. Has it gotten any better with external storages, specifically when there are many files in one directory? It used to time out/become unresponsive in that situation, and make many unnecessary database requests/updates.
