- Comment on Tesla Reportedly Has $800 Million Worth of Cybertrucks That Nobody Wants 1 day ago:
Chrysler had an inventory of over 1 million last year, they’ve ran through that by March.
That’s insane considering Chrysler hasn’t made a decent vehicle in 20+ years and the majority of them are just as big piles of shit as the cybertruck.

20 controllers bro you have a problem and it’s not the controllers. My original Xbox 360 controllers from 2006 still work. My original Xbox one controller still works. My series x launch controller from 2020 still works. And I play dark souls. You have some other issues to sort out.

Nobody asked to have some pointless story injected into their online shooters. I’m pretty sure the people that want world-building and narrative and lore in their games aren’t playing online shooters. I know I’m not.

Apex legends? The fully online battle Royale style competitive shooter? Can anyone tell me why a game like this needs a “character writer” anyway? I’ve never played it so maybe there’s some grand story I don’t know about, but to me this sounds like writing a character for Counter Strike which I think we all agree would be completely pointless.

I mean, barring Nintendo, they still are and will continue to be as long as you don’t need to have games on day one. I very rarely spend more than $20 on Xbox games. Most AAA games go on sale within the first few months. $70 Ubisoft titles will literally be $15 a month after release, not that Ubisoft makes much worth buying these days but it was just an example. The digital storefronts (again, not Nintendo) have sales constantly, you just need a little impulse control.

Said features are mostly gimmicks, and quite frankly the symmetrical stick placement is uncomfortable and outdated by nearly 20 years. Even my $40 8bitdo controller I use for my Switch feels more premium than a $80 PS5 controller. In every other case be it PC, android, or Xbox I am going with the Xbox controller.

- Comment on What are some old games that are hard to revisit, because a more modern and superior version exists? 1 month ago:
Dark Souls never even needed a remaster. The original could be released today and probably still be the best game of this year. The improved performance is the only thing worth noting, and even that only really matters in Blighttown, which everyone skips after their first playthrough anyway.
- Comment on What are some old games that are hard to revisit, because a more modern and superior version exists? 1 month ago:
On the subject of fighting games, its true that modern games are more fluid and dynamic and obviously visually superior, but they are also chopped up into a thousand microtransactions and dumbed down. There are six games in the Soul Calibur series now, and SC2 is still the peak there. I’d also argue the best games of both the Mortal Kombat and Dead or Alive series lie somewhere in the middle. The latest entries in all three of these series are honestly disappointing, as well as absolutely riddled with microtransactions.

I had 10k hours in DotA before DotA2 was even a thing. DotA2 never pulled me in quite the same, but even so the best day of my life was when I uninstalled that shit for good in 2015.

Despite all these shortcomings Oblivion is still my favorite TES game. The only thing that stops me from replaying it is the god-awful leveling system that requires loads of planning and min-maxing to make a character I am satisfied with. It’s just so gosh darned beautiful and relaxing…as long as one completely ignores Kvatch.

For me it was Warcraft 3 custom maps. And I’d probably still be playing it if blizzard hadn’t fucking destroyed it. Fuck blizzard forever.

but she was okay with Inquisition? I don’t get that at all. Dragon Age Origins is one of my favorite games of all time and I’ve beat it several times. Inquisition is straight trash by comparison. I beat it once and was immensely disappointed. Because of that experience, I haven’t even considered trying Veilguard. I just know it can only be worse.

I guess I’d take the XBLA version of Vigilante 8, since it’s unlikely we’ll ever get another game in the series or even a remaster of 2nd Offense.

I’ve had cyberpunk since launch and the only thing that has improved is stability. The game is still a hodgepodge of half baked RPG systems, most of which aren’t even necessary to interact with. No amount of polish can change the fact that it’s a turd underneath.

My anecodotal evidence agrees. Somewhere between the jackal sniper one-shot deaths and the rampaging brutes soaking up all your ammo it becomes difficult not to throw things, and I swear I am generally a calm person. I play dark souls to relax.

No it didn’t. I don’t know if a single vendor aside from Bandcamp that will sell you the actual files, and let’s be honest their catalogue is pathetic.

It’s because they launched this product with an actual reasonable amount of ram (16gb) compared to the 8gb they are still selling MacBooks with. So, if they can’t charge you $300 for a little bit of ram now, they instead are going to rape you on storage. Apple is still apple.
