basically a return to slavery, ultimately. actual slavery (vs wage slavery). as you say, trying to criminalize being homeless. as i type this, my states is hearing arguments about whether it’s ok to fine and arrest people for sleeping outside even if there is nowhere else they can sleep. in hawaii they banned using plankets and umbrellas while sleeping, regardless of weather. and so on.

the poorest rely the most on services and on things like clean water. they can’t just jet off to a better area.

it’s the same stuff as in digger machines at shows. anyway, in my town you can vape whet you can smoke. which is outside.

where i live, you can’t vape where you can’t smoke, so we don’t have that issue. i can see how it would bug people, for sure.

i am on the ace spectrum and for me, yes, i want those things. and i will have sex too, but generally i’d rather do other things. i’ve never experienced lust for anyone in my life, but i have two grown children and miss cuddling now that im single again.

same. it’s just clickbait adjacent to catch eyeballs for ad revenue.

our brains didn’t evolve to need total compliance and total agreement from relating, tho. it’s more a sign of problems with society and too much isolation.

not any dumber than things i’ve seen my whole 60 years, tbh. i do think everything we experience affects our brains, for sure. it’s what brains do, they respond to their environment. but not in lockstep. different brains react to the same things i varied ways.

let’s ban it along with cooking smells, car exhaust, perfume, and cheap deodorant. and any other smells you personally don’t like. sound good?

just to say, it’s about 95% less full of harmful chemicals. even opponents admit that. vaping is safer. not safe but safer. and unlike the 200+ times i tried to quite over 45 years (hypnosis, gum, patch, groups, acupuncture, and a heap 'cold turkey), it took me just a few years to quit by first switching to vapes. and within a month of the switch, i felt better in every way. all the bs restrictions in place are so dumb.

no. it just needs to end, as does pretty much our entire economic system, worldwide. and the social systems that support wasteful, destructive living. transform or die. that’s the point we’re at. is humanity up to it? well know within our own lifetimes.
