It would be a good deal if you kept the games forever, but since they’re linked to your subscription, it ain’t worth it to me😇

- Comment on Ex PlayStation exec says Sony can't keep "increasing the graphics power" with new consoles after tech plateau, but PS5 has already "made almost every game a better game" 1 week ago:
Why would you wish to be highly sensitive to an increase/decrease in fps.
That’s just a curse and you should be happy you don’t have it.
You can just enjoy more games with a cheaper pc/console.

People are criticizing Playstation, but I’m still really happy to have a Playstation 5 alongside my Steam Deck.
As much as I love playing old games on the deck and it has now become my main console, I’m happy to have my Playstation 5 for demanding games (mostly sim racing) and to watch blurays.
Having a powerful PC would not bring me the versatility my Steam Deck/Playstation 5/Surface Go 1 is giving me for now.
Although that might change if the Playstation 6 comes without blurays.
I don’t understand why some PC people feel the need to say consoles are useless, when it’s only to them that they would be.
- Comment on GOG Has Had To Hire Private Investigators To Track Down IP Rights Holders 1 week ago:
Did you mean this? If there is nothing written, does it mean the game is DRM free as if we were on GOG?
- Comment on GOG Has Had To Hire Private Investigators To Track Down IP Rights Holders 1 week ago:
Oh I’m gonna have a look at my games out of curiosity then.
- Comment on GOG Has Had To Hire Private Investigators To Track Down IP Rights Holders 1 week ago:
How do you know if a Steam game is DRM free or not?
How do you install such games without Steam through Linux? Is it just an .exe and you click on it as I haven’t done it since probably the early 00’s?
- Comment on GOG Has Had To Hire Private Investigators To Track Down IP Rights Holders 1 week ago:
I’m trying to buy 50% of my games on Gog because they avoir DRM and 50% on Steam because they’re great Linux supporters.
Still I can understand why Steam is ahead in terms to f sale as GOG has some progress to do.
- Comment on Xbox consoles are getting a price bump. Again. 5 weeks ago:
Yeah but don’t forget that GamePass is also costing them a lot of money.
- Comment on Xbox consoles are getting a price bump. Again. 5 weeks ago:
Yeah but you forgot chip prices and tariffs so I don’t think their margins have improved by so much…
- Comment on Xbox consoles are getting a price bump. Again. 5 weeks ago:
Yeah but allowing players to have steam games would mean not recovering the money invested in subsidizing the console since there is no money made on selling them.
That only works when Xbox is only gonna be a brand and not console makers.
- Comment on New Valve trademark for 'Steam Frame', looks like we're getting new hardware 1 month ago:
And you can get a used LCD for cheap now that it has been out for a while.
And I can tell you that the screen is already more than good enough for me with really good colors.
- Comment on I'm playing Gears of War Reloaded, and I have a question. Will there be some point when the Chainsaw I've had for hours actually gets explained to me? 1 month ago:
I’m trying to avoid buying from companies on the palestinian boycott list, but I already know a Gears of War remake playable on Steam Deck is gonna be one exception.
- Comment on Shenmue III Enhanced announced for PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo, and PC 2 months ago:
Loved the first 2 on Dreamcast, started the 3rd one and couldn’t tell if my taste had evolved so much or if the game was just bad. I never finished it despite funding it on kickstarter…
- Comment on What's your preferred way of buying games? (digital/physical/physical digital) 2 months ago:
It’s true that I forgot that you can just uninstall them if you don’t plan on replaying them😅
- Comment on What's your preferred way of buying games? (digital/physical/physical digital) 2 months ago:
Steam Deck: Steam for most games because of ease of use on the Deck and what they provide to the Linux world, GOG for old games with no achievments (I’d buy more from them if they were more Linux oriented, but I also understand they can’t do everything)
Playstation 5: physical except for a few exceptions as I want to be able to resell games I don’t like
- Comment on What's your preferred way of buying games? (digital/physical/physical digital) 2 months ago:
I agree about the fact that having digital games is great for just launching them without leaving your chair, but managing your digital storage space can be a bigger hassle in some cases
- Comment on Red Dead Redemption 2 was amazing. 2 months ago:
I’m not gonna spoil anything bit I didn’t enjoy the story.
Maybe it’s just me and I would play it again if it was a 20 hours game, but it’s too long for me to give it another chance.
I loved the ambiance and gameplay though. I think I enjoyed the first one more because the story wasn’t bad, but it has been ages…
- Comment on Stop Killing Games is facing a complaint in the EU that uses nonsense logic to accuse the movement's founder of failing to disclose financial contributions he never made: 'It's not paranoia if they re 2 months ago:
Well it’s crazy that they’re accusing him of giving too much of his own time.
I really hope the Stop Killing Games initiative changes something as I want to own my (single player) games forever on every store (not only GOG as it’s not so Linux friendly despite the heroic games launcher).
- Comment on We did it! 🥳 3 months ago:
Great news!
If only I could sign it. Keep going EU citizens!
- Comment on Yep, I actually own 7,255 games on Steam. I’ve played 23% of my library. I regret nothing. 3 months ago:
I guess for arcade games it’s logical, but it doesn’t apply to games like Heavy Rain, Last Of Us, Uncharted or Final Fantasy.
But I guess every one behaves differently and enjoys different things.
I’m just worried when I see my 8 year old son trying a new game every time he faces a challenge in the previous one.
- Comment on Yep, I actually own 7,255 games on Steam. I’ve played 23% of my library. I regret nothing. 3 months ago:
Well for me it’s like starting 40 books, 40 movies or 40 songs and not finishing them.
If it’s a story driven game, I would never picture myself not finishing it unless I don’t enjoy it.
Also I see the starting something and not finishing it as a result of the short attention spans generation, but I might be getting old at 38😅
- Comment on Yep, I actually own 7,255 games on Steam. I’ve played 23% of my library. I regret nothing. 3 months ago:
Well I’m happy for you if owning so many games makes you happy as it supports a hobby I love.
Personnaly, I think that not finishing so many of your games shows some kind of problem, but I’m not a psychologist. Owning so many too…
I might even have the inverted problem as I feel like it’s an obligation for me to finish a game unless I don’t like it.
- Comment on Sony faces another class-action lawsuit over PlayStation Store prices and monopolistic practices 3 months ago:
Agreed but you can play only offline without missing on much. I currently have the ps plus for a few more months, but I’m dropping it as the only one playing online is my son and hés playing fortnite.
But, if you’re an online player, it’s gonna be cheaper to play on pc.
- Comment on Sony faces another class-action lawsuit over PlayStation Store prices and monopolistic practices 3 months ago:
I totally agree and it’s a pleasure to read someone who’s able to talk about the advantages of each side.
- Comment on Sony faces another class-action lawsuit over PlayStation Store prices and monopolistic practices 3 months ago:
Well I bought my ps5 a while ago, but I think that despite the price increase, it’s still cheaper than a comparable PC.
As for the no fuss experience, my Steam Deck, which I love and have had for a few month, has already given more to tinker and solve than my ps5 in a few years.
I just think that the Playstation experience isn’t as good and cheap as it used to be compared to PC.
- Comment on Sony faces another class-action lawsuit over PlayStation Store prices and monopolistic practices 3 months ago:
To be honest that would just be the end of the consoles system as there is a reason Sony is selling the PS5 for so cheap.
As much as I understand why Apple shouldn’t be allowed to keep everything in the Apple Store, Sony’s situation isn’t the same.

Same for me, no Switzerland option.
So I can only encourage EU citizens to do it.

- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 4 months ago:
As much as I don’t enjoy Nintendo games and consoles anymore, I don’t think you can blame them for not creating new experiences.
Even the Switch 2 is creating a new way to play with its controls.
You can’t really say this about the Playstation 5 (which I own) or the Series X.
