I’m hoping the game will be released on GOG as I wouldn’t buy a game I’ve already owned on console on Steam since it wouldn’t be DRM free.
- Comment on 1 day ago:
I guess the old one might feel really old if it’s your first Final Fantasy.
Even the remakes feel a bit dated in a way (not graphically).
- Comment on 1 day ago:
As long you can still play the old version with your old save, I don’t see the problem.
Although I wonder what the new version introduces…
I might replay FFVII at one point after getting the third episode of the remake. It’d be a nice way to spot the differences in the story…
- Comment on Why is Valve being sued for almost $900 million, but Epic Games wasn't sued when they bought Rocket League and Fall Guys to remove them from steam? 5 days ago:
Apparently a lot of games don’t have DRMs on Steam. The only thing missing is a badge indicating this.

Yeah the two last games are really great and I enjoyed them so much on Steam Deck.

Oh yes you’re right, but then let’s say that a lot of great games were published by EA.
- Comment on Mass Effect is one of the greatest games ever and EA makes good games 1 week ago:
Oh yeah I forgot this one. I enjoyed it too.
- Comment on Why do you need a launcher? (asking older gamers actually) 1 week ago:
Having one launcher isn’t a problem for me. Steam’s OS’s launcher even allows me to launch GOG games through Heroic without even really launching Heroic.
Where it starts being a problem is when individual games need their own launcher…
I see the launcher as the system menu in a console…

- Comment on Reports of ad-supported Xbox game streams show Microsoft's lack of imagination 2 weeks ago:
Well they are based in my city and they’ve been around for 30 years.
They use their datacenters to heat buildings and seem to have good ethos.
I’ve been using kdrive for 5 years and I can only complain about the lack of Flatpak (Appimage for Linux) and the fact that they don’t have an alternative to something like Google Photos.

Infomaniak is even cheaper with kdrive www.infomaniak.com/fr/ksuite/kdrive/tarifs
- Comment on RetroDECK 0.10.0b Is a Ground-Up Rewrite, Not Just an Update 2 weeks ago:
So what? How much bigger is it than the other one?
If it allows me to not change too many things on the Deck to install, I’m okay with wasting some space compared to other solutions.
Also it can emulate not just one console.
- Comment on RetroDECK 0.10.0b Is a Ground-Up Rewrite, Not Just an Update 2 weeks ago:
RetroDeck has the advantage of being a Flatpak and not needing Deckyloader plugin if you’re using a Steam Deck.
I’ve had a great experience with it👍
- Comment on Is it just me, or does anyone else wish there was a federated, decentralized alternative to YouTube Music? 2 weeks ago:
Having music in peertube would be nice, but I think the artist would have to have some kind of paywall or a Patreon…
- Comment on GOG's new owner says Steam is winning due to ease of use, not quality, while criticizing the platform for releasing hundreds of games daily that are "not super high quality" 3 weeks ago:
I’m trying to buy around 50% of my games on GOG and the other 50% on Steam.
Clearly the ease of use award goes to Steam, especially on Linux.
Gog is still okay thanks to Heroic but it is a commitment with no background downloading on Steam Deck and slow downloads.
I guess we, gamers, only have to make sure that Valve still has competition so that they can’t just turn evil.
For now, I really appreciate how Valve is supporting Linux and I appreciate how GOG understand that we want to own our games and play them forever.
- Comment on 3 weeks ago:
Do you have an example of such a game? No reduction after 10 years sounds really weird.
- Comment on we need more users 3 weeks ago:
I agree with you but I would still want numbers to go up a little bit, not down the way they are apparently.
- Comment on AI-Induced RAM Crunch Could Push Next PlayStation and Xbox Past 2028 4 weeks ago:
Exactly! The good part of such a shortage is that old tech can stay relevant for far longer and devs will have to optimize more.
Sometimes, therés a lot of good in a bad situation.
I want great games, not necessarly more demanding ones. The Last of Us 2 is still the most beautiful game I’ve played and I don’t really need more if it means getting new hardware.
- Comment on AI-Induced RAM Crunch Could Push Next PlayStation and Xbox Past 2028 4 weeks ago:
I’d also love to have a normal PS5 partition and a Linux one. This would be the best of both worlds, but I think I’m dreaming too much😇
- Comment on GOG is getting acquired by its original co-founder: What it means for you 5 weeks ago:
My downloads are at maybe 2 MB/S through Heroic (officialy 0.5 MB/S but I think the numer dispoayed is wrong) and Firefox, slower than on Steam even if my connection isn’t crazy.
I keep the games installed and move the installation between internal and external storage.
- Comment on GOG is getting acquired by its original co-founder: What it means for you 5 weeks ago:
Through Heroic I think you can just import an already installed game you have on an external hard drive. Wouldn’t this allow you to use your game on every new computer you get?
The downloads are really slow through Heroic, so I’d prefer not having to download offline installers on top of it😅
- Comment on GOG is getting acquired by its original co-founder: What it means for you 5 weeks ago:
I might be stupid, but what’s the point of downloading offline installers. Isn’t a game installed through Heroic or Gog Galaxy playable offline, which would mean it would still be useable if GOG went bankrupt?
- Comment on Disco Elysium - The Final Cut is free to claim on epic games for the next 24h 1 month ago:
Oh yeah I fully agree that no game can satisfy everyone.
It’s just that, before playing it myself, I never heard a bad thing about it so I might have expected too much out of it.
Still I enjoyed it, even if it’s not a game I’ll recommend to everyone.

I’m starting the Metro series instead of you then. Enjoying 2033 even if characters and storytelling is a bit stereotypical for now.

Mafia Definitive Edition on Steam Deck it works well except you can’t see what button you’re supposed to press.
Once you know the controls you can just enjoy the superb atmosphere and surprizingly great gunfights!
- Comment on Where's the best point to jump into modern Resident Evil? 2 months ago:
I enjoyed Resident Evil as a teenager, then came number 4 which I played, but didn’t enjoy.
I played number 5 with a friend as it was one of the few coop games available but I didn’t like it.
When number 7 came out, everyone praised it. I hated it and decided that Resident Evil really wasn’t for me anymore despite loving number 1, 0 and Code Veronica.

Good as developpers should optimize instead of just counting on more powerful hardware.
