- Comment on You Pay For It, We Own It - Sony's $7.9B Lawsuit 22 hours ago:
Good luck to that lawsuit!
I’ve nothing against Sony, but I want some of these companies to lose some of these cases just to remind them that we should own what we buy.
- Comment on Cyberpunk 2077 released in December 2020. Almost 4 years later, what is your opinion on it? 1 week ago:
I’ve played through the normal game and the expansion. I loved the universe, but the gameplay isn’t so great to be honest.
Also I often struggled with dialogues, selecting one sentence and not understanding why I’d have to kill everyone around after making this choice (Maman Brigitte for instance). But this might be just me😇
I recommend playing these games and I’ll play both at least twice.
- Comment on Ghost of Tsushima - I've heard it's a nice game, but it overstays its welcome. Do you agree? 1 week ago:
That’s so true and that’s why I’m getting tired of open world games and really trying to space them evenly with a few « normal » games inbetween.
I kind of miss linear games.
- Comment on Reddit is profitable for the first time ever, with nearly 100 million daily users 2 weeks ago:
Yeah reddit is often appearing in my search results when I look for something and I don’t mind looking at Reddit posts that way, even if I’m not interacting anymore.
It’s true that you have a lot of pretentious and non open minded people on Lemmy. Of course if you just say that Linux isn’t useful, I can’t blame them for telling you politely the contrary 😅
- Comment on M4 Mac Mini Power Button Has New Bottom Location 2 weeks ago:
A lot of negligible things added together can make a lot.
My computers are perfectly up to date by just running the software update manager while using them.
But of course, being veggie, not having kids, biking or walking has a bigger impact than just turning off your computer.
As I have two lovely kids and my work involves a lot of car travel, I can’t blame you for not turning off your computer though 😇
- Comment on M4 Mac Mini Power Button Has New Bottom Location 2 weeks ago:
Okay in such a case I understand why these machines shouldn’t be turned off.
But, for normal people using their computers for admin/gaming, I still think it’s one of the easy ways of saving a bit of energy.
- Comment on Reddit is profitable for the first time ever, with nearly 100 million daily users 2 weeks ago:
I’ve migrated from Reddit last year, and I can tell you that these results make me appreciate Lemmy even more.
It’s the same as Reddit but without any advertising 🥰
Now it would be nice to have nore communities outside of tech related ones.
- Comment on M4 Mac Mini Power Button Has New Bottom Location 2 weeks ago:
Why would they be idiots for wanting to turn these computers off?
If the computers aren’t running something important while not in use, I think they should turn them off as we’re already wasting far too much energy.
I might be missing something, but it sounds like leaving your car running or leaving lights on in your home the whole year.
- Comment on M4 Mac Mini Power Button Has New Bottom Location 2 weeks ago:
I feel like it’s such a waste of energy when powering off your computer when you’re not using it is so easy.
- Comment on Whatever happened to racing games 2 weeks ago:
What I find crazy is that on Playstation you got Gran Turismo in 2022 I think and there’ll be no other concurrent until Asseto Corsa Evo in probably 2026.
I’ve already so many hours of going around the Ring in GT7, but I’d really h’love an extension with a new career mode and new trophies until Asseto Corsa Evo.
- Comment on Nostalgia and remake culture 2 weeks ago:
Well the magic of a remake is that you can still poay the old game if you’re not happy with it😅
- Comment on Nostalgia and remake culture 2 weeks ago:
I have no problem with remakes as long as they aren’t just trying to grab some cash from you without any work.
I’ve really enjoyed the Final Fantasy VII remakes or the Planet of the Apes remakes. Yes they aren’t perfect, but it feels like some passion was put into these projects.
As long as we aren’t just getting remakes, I have nothing against it. And sometimes remakes even have more originality than another generic game.
- Comment on PS5's 'Resume Activity' Feature Apparently Gone for Good - PlayStation LifeStyle 3 weeks ago:
Could be for some games, but it doesn’t apply to games which had the resume activities and were still exposing you a thousand times to the same screens.
Also, at this point, they don’t know what game mode you’re gonna play so I don’t think they can load much except the general menu.
- Comment on PS5's 'Resume Activity' Feature Apparently Gone for Good - PlayStation LifeStyle 3 weeks ago:
What I really don’t understand is how crazy it is in 2024 to have to go through the same screen telling you who’s the developer and publisher of the game even after 150 hours of playing time.
I think we should have an option to go to certain parts of the game directly in the welcome screen from your Playstation.
- Comment on Monthly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing? 1 month ago:
I’ve just finished replaying Killzone 3 on PlayStation 3 and it’s still really impressive.
I might start Little Nightmares 2 tonight or tomorrow on my PlayStation 5.
- Comment on [Tom Warren] The PS5 Pro still hasn’t sold out in the US or UK. Looks like the $700 price point will mean this console will be readily available this holiday 1 month ago:
Playing Killzone 3 right now and I still find it impressive despite having a PlayStation 5.
- Comment on Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater Official Trailer | TGS 2024 1 month ago:
I’ve watched the trailer and it doesn’t look good enough to justify buying the remake I think.
I also fear that I may just be too old for Metal Gear. I used to love them though and I’ve played all of them at least 3 times, except the fifth one which was just a huge disappointment.
- Comment on Tune in tomorrow for a PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation hosted by Mark Cerny 2 months ago:
I really don’t see the point, but I’m not against it as long as it doesn’t lower anything we’d be getting on normal ps5.
At least for the ps4 and ps4 Pro, I didn’t feel like the ps4 pro created a problem for regular ps4 games.

- Comment on Lemmy wouldn't really takeoff to replace Reddit until it's content is search indexable 2 months ago:
Yeah clerk.
What’s the point on commenting on something when you know you’re gonna be the only one doing it.
So I guess a few more people would be nice on Lemmy.
- Comment on Lemmy wouldn't really takeoff to replace Reddit until it's content is search indexable 2 months ago:
While I guess what you’re saying is true, I haven’t been confronted with such things during my 1-2 years on Lemmy. It also depends on the communities you subscribe to and political ones are probably more subjected to violence than others.
- Comment on When EV startups shut down, will their cars still work? 2 months ago:
Never heard about it but it sounds crazy.
- Comment on Classic Ubisoft: PS5 players to install an update and restart their save files from scratch due to game-breaking bugs 2 months ago:
It’s crazy because I think this game had people paying more to get it earlier than others.
These people should be highly compensated, like getting some future free games or stuff like this.
I’m not a Ubi Soft hater as I’ve enjoyed some of their games through the years (Watch Dogs 1, Assassin’s Creed 1-2, Splinter Cell), but such things make me understand why people hate them.

One more reason to try to ditch Google, Apple, Microsoft and the others…
- Comment on Avowed Runs at 30fps on Xbox Series X and S, Obsidian Confirms 2 months ago:
I think people give too much importance to such things.
I’m not saying 60fps isn’t nice, but it ain’t the most important thing and I feel like drawing distance or stuff like this are more distracting.
For me it’s crazy to still have racing games where shadows or trees are still appearing too late or where things are just abnormally disappearing in the rear view mirror.
- Comment on TitanFall 2 at 3$ 3 months ago:
This game is really great and its length make it enjoyable many times.
I played 2 years ago when I was still on PlayStation 4 and it looked great.
The soundtrack is also great to listen to.
One of my favorite FOS of the last decade with the killzone and wolfenstein series.
- Comment on Microsoft Encourages Employee Donations to Illegal West Bank Settlements, While Barring UNRWA 3 months ago:
Well to be honest I’m happy and proud that I don’t have to use Microsoft or Apple products anymore except for work.
So since the post was about these companies and what they’re doing, I feel like it’s okay to say I’m not using these anymore but Linux.
I’d be doing the same in a post about the ecological impact of meat and I’d say I ain’t eating meat anymore as that’s part of the solution, the same way Linux is if you want to avoid Microsoft.
- Comment on Microsoft Encourages Employee Donations to Illegal West Bank Settlements, While Barring UNRWA 3 months ago:
These companies are really awful and it shows how cruel you have to behave to survive in the business world.
Israel is clearly a better business partner than Palestine.
I’m happy to be on Linux now even if I know I’ll never be able to really get get out of reach of all these evil corporations because they are everywhere and in everything.
- Comment on Decentralised YouTube alternative Odysee no longer serving ads 3 months ago:
Well I never happened to see anything related to these topics on Odysee. I mostly used to follow tech stuff as my other hobbies like cars and basketball aren’t really present on the platform.
- Comment on The Future of Odysee 3 months ago:
I think Peertube has a brighter future if they find a way to act like some Youtube and Patreon alternative.
Maybe, you could get 2 free videos from one creator and then need to pay once you know you enjoy what they do.
