I met a guy in the city that supported himself selling cracked firesticks, I shit you not. 40 bucks a pop and it’d be plug and play all the way supposedly, and that’s all he did, sell those via word of mouth.
As an old, I have to chuckle at the whole thing as it reminds me of the '80s when (if you knew who to talk to) you could pay a guy to open up your 13 channel, wood paneled cable box, move a few things around, and give you free Home Box Office. It was the tits, let me tell you.
Fuck, I’m getting old.

They did that with the movie Clue, showing different endings at different theaters. At the. Time, it pissed people off, and it got called a cash grab.
- Comment on Microsoft now pops up a poll asking why you'd want to use another browser when you download Chrome 1 year ago:
Edge is a perfectly cromulent browser that fills the average user’s needs just fine and has some great additional cruft such as their vertical tabs and Collections implementation. It’s not 2013 anymore. Why people still go out of their way to get Chrome of all things is an important question for Microsoft to ask. Just living off of Chrome’s literal crumbs is worthwhile to Microsoft, imagine if they actually had a marketshare that reflected the two products capabilities. People obviously don’t do it for safety or privacy or functionality reasons, and Microsoft will literally pay you to use Bing. They probably wonder what the fucking issue is at this point.

You do know that Chrome is not “the origin al one” and that Edge is not a reskinned Chrome, right?
- Comment on Microsoft now pops up a poll asking why you'd want to use another browser when you download Chrome 1 year ago:
You can’t blame them for wanting to know. It’s a major market, and they’re getting their asses kicked. If I had to pick one, I’d pick Edge over Chrome, so it’s actually an interesting question anyway.

Thank you kindly for the offer. After finding out about the. Invite system here, I was able to Google a code right away, so I’m in. Thanks!
Hey though, BTW, from the mobile app, do you know how to initiate a chat message to a signal group? I can only seem to do it by replying to an existing group post.

I didn’t know it even had in it’s. When I signed up, they just mentioned the waiting list. I just think it’s weird marketing to have such a huge wait list for so long. I’d almost rather just not hear about it until the wait list is realistically navigable.

Mm, I’m curious as to what the threats actually were. I’ve seen people claim they got death threats because someone tweeted “kys” at them in response to their homophobic bullshit.

- Comment on New Nintendo patent suggests Switch 2 may solve joycon drift 1 year ago:
My old Amazon order says Vivefox, but they don’t seem to be for sale anymore. I’m pretty sure at the time there were a bunch of companies offering the same ones, like a Chinese dropship kind of thing.
- Comment on New Nintendo patent suggests Switch 2 may solve joycon drift 1 year ago:
I lost four sets of Joycon to drift. I even sent two in to be “repaired”. Talking to support was worthless - I’m convinced that the people I spoke to had never seen or used a Switch before. I don’t think they did anything other than calibrate them and send them back. I ended up buying a 20 pair of knockoff Joycon that have worked perfectly ever since.

I like the concept. I actually actively avoid gaming forums as much as I can because they seem to all become one of two things: either completely overrun by people who hate the game and can’t shut up about it, even though they don’t play it anymore, or completely overrun by people who claim to hate the game and can’t shut up about how much they hate it, even though they have thousands of hours in it and play it like it’s a full time job.
