  Huh, that’s too bad. I used it for years to get comfortable with an rolling release arch distro. I thought it was good, but it would break from time to time. Thankfully, Arch is easy to install and maintain these days.

  I can’t speak for Macs. But in the Linux world, 8GB is fine. In Windows it’s awful because of all that bloat. I’m guessing Macs fair better for OS efficiency.

  Like everyone else said, didn’t fix it, if not broken. Admins like distros like Debian and Arch(sorry) because you have more initial control of what’s on them. Why have a GUI, if you didn’t need it? Mix that with a little OCD and next thing you’re doing is recompiling the kernel. Fun stuff 😀
