I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m here now…
- Comment on Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week? 2 days ago:
Skies of Arcadia Legends
I’ve barely played this version and it really makes it less of a chore compared to the Dreamcast version.
Squad
It’s hard to recommend to new players because of some big issues the game has but it’s the only game that I play 90% for the social interaction it brings.

Looking forward to this as it should be a great quick resume game. Nice and chill just jumping in/out for long deliveries :)
- Comment on What are your favourite and go-to gaming websites? 1 week ago:
Someone mentioned HG101 and I’m enjoying all the reading.
I’m not that interested in what Racketboy seems to offer but I see it has a forum so I might have a look through later for interesting stuff.
- Comment on Mass Effect 1 is still my favourite sci-fi game of all time 1 week ago:
It took me a few tries back in the day but ME1 is my favourite of the 3. It has the best storyline and the other 2 games were more action/adventure.

But where’s the fun stuff…
:) I joke. I’ve actually been againt video game achievements since they began but recenly have enjoyed the RetroAchievements setup and playing my childhood games again.

Pikmin 2
I’ve mostly played on the Switch this past 2 weeks as my kids have taken over everything else…
Also a bit of Outrun, Circuit Superstars and Absolute Drift.
- Comment on Red Dead Redemption 2 was amazing. 2 weeks ago:
It’s good but I didn’t really get on with it after a couple chapters. It constantly goes through highs and lows, and although I can be fun I found the lows to be absolute boredom.

This is a real gem! Thank you

I came across this recently and it’s a very useful tool. This year I started to take notice again and find myself more and more going with GOG, offline games and physical discs.

I didn’t realise I had this already bookmarked so thanks for the reminder.

Thanks. Great recommendation.

Thanks. ROMsMegathread is interesting and something I didn’t know about.

Thanks. HG101 is the kind of stuff I’m looking for.

I wouldn’t go as far as ruined but Halo
4/5/Infinite all suck. - Comment on What are some games with absolutely fantastic soundtracks? 2 weeks ago:

This kind of update is always welcome. Probably 80% of my console time is spent on backwards compatible games anyway.

Final Fantasy IX on my little Miyoo Flip. I’ve never played a FF game before and it’s my wife’s favourite so I thought why not. So far I’ve helped steal a ladder, had a concert ticket turn out to be a fake :( and stole gil from a few houses and I’ll play some more this evening. It’s also a beautiful looking game.
- Comment on Novels and Movies Offer Closure. Video Games Should Too. [The New York Times] 5 weeks ago:
There are so many games being made nowadays that it’s not even hard to avoid the shitty games. It’s just that the mainstream gamer/society doesn’t bother looking.
- Comment on Why doesn't Sega care about Sonic? 5 weeks ago:
Sega had it very rough in the late 90s and 00s which didn’t help but recent time have been much improved for the blue hedgehog. I agree with what you’re saying though that the respect wasn’t there, for Sonic and even their company history.

Euro Truck Simulator 2
The week that I pack away my wheel/pedals is the same time I get the urge to go back to ETS2… :D
Controller and a numpad for extra buttons works really well. Obviously not as immersive but is much easier/quicker to jump in and start playing.

Shift 2 was actually pretty good, I forgot about that one.

The last good NFS was Hot Pursuit and that was 15 years ago.
- Comment on Smaller rally/racing games I recommend you try! 1 month ago:
World Rally Championship in the arcade was my first experience and have been a fan ever since. Even though I have EA WRC, Dirt Rally games and a wheel/pedal setup I mostly play Art of Rally.

God of War on the PS4. I dropped off for about a month but I’m back and just picked up the Blades of Chaos and finishing off a couple side missions before I progress.
- Comment on For people who want to play their favorite games but are unable to, what are you currently doing? 1 month ago:
I’m sorry to hear that. Obviously we don’t know your situation but I just want to say that gaming doesn’t have to be expensive so hopefully you’re back to it sooner rather than later.
