I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m here now…
- Comment on A Sealed Copy Of Fallout 3 DLC Is Selling For Over $2,000, And Fans Have No Idea Why 1 day ago:
It’s a show piece. No one expects it to sell for that much but it gets eyeballs on the store.
- Comment on The Long Dark gets a big free visual enhancement update out now 1 day ago:
The update is ok. Stuff like terrain blending looks bad and the random environment things, like rocks falling, do break the immersion because they repeat in the same places.
- Comment on When making lots of small games is more sustainable than making one big one 3 days ago:
And in our case, I really feel it boosts our creativity. We’re making this game [TMNT] for less than $300,000 in 18 months.”
I genuinely believe this and it’s kind of a lost sentiment. Hopefully they continue doing what they’re doing and how they want.
- Comment on Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week? 6 days ago:
I’m still playing lots on my Miyoo handheld but I did buy Robocop: Rogue City yesterday so tonight I’m going to watch the movie and then play on the weekend. I’ve heard very good things so really looking forward to it.
- Comment on What games are just objective master pieces? 6 days ago:
Thomas Was Alone
I’ve never felt so much for quadrilateral shapes.
- Comment on What are some good cooperative shooters? Hidden gems? 1 week ago:
- Ready or Not
- Six Days in Fallujah
- Halo
Halo is an all time great and especially for co-op.
- Comment on Game media preservation, where? 1 week ago:
Out of Print archive is my go to for nostalgia.
make sure to look in the WIP section for even more magazines
- Comment on Catchiest video game song? 1 week ago:
Hang On main theme tune is excellent. The soundtrack to Hang-On and Super Hang-On are both top tier.
- Comment on GOG News for Gaming/Linux/Steam Deck 1 week ago:
I like the look of the white custom title cards but whenever I get to a game that doesn’t have one it ruins the theme and I end up changing them back…
Also if Old School Rally does come to GOG I would buy it in a heartbeat. Colin McRae Rally (and 2.0) are some of my all time favorites and I still play them regularly.
- Comment on Build your retro library without breaking the bank 1 week ago:
I like the idea of collecting physical media but its just not practical for me anymore. The need to store it all somewhere and then there is disc rot and hardware failure make the increasd prices just not worth it anymore. I’ve been using GOG more and more over the last couple years as well as emulators.
- Comment on Wait, that game is still playable online? 1 week ago:
I haven’t played for years now but NeoTokyo still has an active community.
Post Scriptum (now known as Squad 44) is still alive. A very under-appreciated game and they are trying to revive it with a new dev team who have been doing wonders but the active player count is still well below 1k.
- Comment on Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week? 1 week ago:
Streets of Rage on my little handheld emulator that I bought last week. I’d forgotten how long it’s been since I last played!
- Comment on You can now use authenticator apps to keep your GOG account secure! 2 weeks ago:
Thanks for this. Long overdue from GOG.
- Comment on I'm a console gamer so, Why the hate on the Epic Games Store? 2 weeks ago:
People are overly loyal to Steam and don’t realise the huge market share they have. It’s not technically a monopoly but everyone else is fighting over the 20% that Steam doesn’t have so who can blame Epic for throwing money at the problem.
- Comment on Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week? 2 weeks ago:
I’ve already bought my 2nd handheld now as they are incredible value. Miyoo Flip V2 is on the way.

Advance Wars
I bought an Anbernic RG35XX H little handheld system and have been having fun with mostly GBA games the past couple days.

The pc market has taken a very consumerist turn and it’s actually pretty disgusting. Sad times.

I wish companies stayed on that track.
Welcome to a world of 1000W PSUs :(
- Comment on Will all these multiplayer games being released without support for LAN or hosting our own servers no longer be multiplayer when the company shuts down the servers? 3 weeks ago:
Community servers were/are some of the best times I have in gaming.

Who doesn’t want to spend £50+ a month to doom scroll…

People who buy a Switch 2 are not the same people who care about this stuff.
- Comment on Smaller gaming channels 3 weeks ago:
The one channel that I have never stopped watching is Vash12349 as it is always a good time.
As for finding them you just have to search for games that your interested in and start watching untill something clocks with you.

I’ve gone back to Ostriv since there have been some nice updates since I last played. It’s such a beautiful game and I always end up spending most of the time makeing it look nice.
- Comment on Steam Deck / Gaming News #14 3 weeks ago:
Zarya looks like my kind of game so thanks.
Also that PS2 is stunning. I kinda miss all the colourful and/or transparent consoles stuff as it used to be a reasonable option but now it comes with a “special edition” price tag.
- Comment on What is your favorite indie game? 4 weeks ago:
Live for Speed
I’ve been playing it on and off for over 20 years now with some definite highs and lows but I have nothing but respect for the devs and community. It’s not on any store fronts and they just do their own thing.
- Comment on Apparently it was in the manual, but I'm just learning it now. 4 weeks ago:
Because it didn’t remind me of that?
- Comment on Apparently it was in the manual, but I'm just learning it now. 4 weeks ago:
This reminds me of the MGS one where the frequency for Meryl is on the back of the game case.
- Comment on Players Have Too Many Options to Spend $80 on a Video Game 4 weeks ago:
!patientgamers@sh.itjust.works
There are so many options out there that asking for $80, or whatever the equivalent is, is just ridiculous. I really hope people stand up against this bulshit.
- Comment on Microsoft is raising prices on Xbox consoles, controllers, and games worldwide 4 weeks ago:
To be fair PC gaming is a whole different monster to deal with because of the extortionate prices of new hardware and extreme consumerism.
I just want to play games and not be a target for all these companies :/
