This game was so good back in the day.
Hopefully they release more Bungie classics like Myth 2
- Comment on How transwomen/transmen dream 3 months ago:
It’s their way of saying that trans women aren’t women and trans men aren’t men. It’s less of a technicality thing and more of a “I’m going to be skeptical about this person’s intentions until I see more”
- Comment on How transwomen/transmen dream 3 months ago:
Trans women are women and trans men are men.
As somebody who is nonbinary, I dream as some version of myself.
Also, please use “trans women” and “trans men”. Removing the space is a TERF red flag.

If you look at many people’s material conditions during Trump and during Biden, they haven’t gotten better. You can say whatever you want about Biden’s policies, his cabinet appointments, and how much Democrats have done when they hold power, but at the end of the day it hasn’t changed most folks’ lives one bit. It might be good metric-wise, but until folks feel like they’re better off it doesn’t matter.
Also, it’s hilarious to me how much shit Republicans seem to get done even when they don’t hold the House, Senate, and White House together, but the minute Republicans get one of those, suddenly it’s “oh shit Democrats can’t do anything”. It’s like Republicans are playing with nukes and Democrats are showing up with rubber band guns.
And no, I won’t be voting for Biden, I’ll be voting third party. And I know, you think “a vote for a third party is a vote for Trump”, but I don’t give a shit. I’ve been seeing this same “at least I’m not…” shit for 25 years and watching our country be sold to the highest bidder under both parties. At this point, if we can’t figure out shit out, we deserve to be razed to the ground.

Our school did that, but ran into an issue that not everyone around us did the same. So students that were involved in after school sports would sometimes be leaving after 5th period (in an 8 period day) 2 or 3 days a week. They’d need to leave around 2/2:30 to get to a 4pm game and have time to warm up. That had a pretty negative effect on their academic performance.
- Comment on party poopers 6 months ago:
Teacher here. I can explain this as: at any given time only about 1/2 the class is listening to instructions. I’m guessing that 4th period is a smaller class, but they did well because the teacher could better monitor what they were doing. I’d be willing to bet that 7th period is the largest class.

I coach a robotics team and we were sponsored by Elegoo (so grain of salt). They gave us a Neptune 4 that’s pretty incredible. It printed a flawless benchy in 38 minutes. It’s a bit picky and takes some finessing, but it’s a great printer. You can get the predecessor, the Neptune 3, for about 210USD. It’s highly rated by several sites for a beginner printer, and I would definitely recommend it.

I’ve never had that issue with either Epson I’ve owned. Scans just fine without ink.

Has Epson also gone downhill? The first one I bought lasted 11 years, so about 3 years ago I replaced it with another Epson.

I worked for as a software engineer for a company that I did interviews for. We were told that “pet projects” were a red flag unless they were a current college student. They showed a lack of commitment to their current employer. Basically, there’s no reason for them to have a side project, they should be working more for their current boss.
I left that company shortly after.

There’s no motivation to do the work. Students that work hard get a diploma. Students that don’t do anything…still get a diploma.
We have students who can barely read and can’t do basic math, but they still get a diploma. Why do work for the same result?
- Comment on They’ve grown up online. So why are our kids not better at detecting misinformation? 1 year ago:
This isn’t helped by the fact that in many school districts it isn’t possible to hold a child back. We literally have students entering high school that haven’t done anything since 3rd grade but have been advanced to the next grade anyways. Then we get surprised Pikachu face when they can’t do the things they need to graduate.
That actually ignores the whole “make up credit” classes where answers to every question are literally a google search away.
I literally had a student in one of my math classes who pasted a “couldn’t find results for…” as an answer to a homework question because they had mistyped the question.
- Comment on They’ve grown up online. So why are our kids not better at detecting misinformation? 1 year ago:
I’m a teacher. This is very false. The issue is that being taught in schools and being learned in schools are completely different things. Between No Child Left Behind and IDEA, schools are being incentivized to graduate students regardless of the learning done in the school.
I know for a fact that these skills are taught in 6-8th grade social studies classes, as well as digital literacy classes. Hell, I teach 2 classes that are entirely based around critical thinking.

I worked for a TV station that got bought by Sinclair. I will say this repeatedly and with my whole chest:
Fuck Sinclair. Easily the worst employer I’ve ever had. They are the scummiest of the scummiest media companies. I can accept putting profit over everything, that’s capitalism. They seemed to go out of their way to do things in the least moral way, even if it cost them money. Fuck them. They are the modern face of evil in America.
