If the pizza is a square or rectangle (like Detroit deep dish or a flatbread) it is on, but round pizza cut in squares is just bad

The only time I used it was when a hotel wifi was blocking access to my VPN but Google’s worked fine
- Comment on BitTorrent is No Longer the ‘King’ of Upstream Internet Traffic 1 month ago:
Was torrent available (or common) during those speeds? I remember napster/kazaa/limeware and downloading stuff like green day.exe
I started using torrents when I already had broadband, although very asymmetrical
- Comment on After watching batman throw around explosives left and right I no longer believe batman doesn't use guns because of some sort of moral quandary but rather he just prefers the challenge. 2 months ago:
He also probably holds a large stake in Arkham. Every criminal he sends is money the city puts into his deep pockets

They have two pedals, but with EVs you basically brake when you remove your for from the “gas” pedal
- Comment on Hertz Is Selling 20,000 Used EVs Due To High Repair Costs 4 months ago:
I’ve only driven EVs a few times for benchmarking but every time I have a hard time adjusting to the single pedal driving. I’m sure you get used to it soon, but if you are just renting short term or may be not enough time to adjust
- Comment on Senior AWS dev claims Amazon is quietly trying to encourage employees to quit in a push to covertly cut numbers 4 months ago:
That was about 7 years ago. The Echo Auto had just launched and I’m guessing I was debugging that. Also I lived in Mexico at the time, I’m not sure if those laws would protect me as well

My wife’s pixel 3a became so slow to the point of being useless. I tried to restore it but it was still very slow. It started happening after a software update after the pixel 5 came out 🤷

Amazon is famous for that free labor (check interview review at glassdoor)
I had several interviews with them a few years ago and I was basically troubleshooting an issue, they were asking for my expertise on how to solve if I enjoyed X and which kind of tests I would run for validation and how to design to prevent reoccurrence and then they basically ghosted me
- Comment on Google maps adding sponsored detours 4 months ago:
The picture shows the “eco” route which is a setting you can turn on/off that selects gas saving routes even if they add some minutes to the trip Image

Didn’t know there was a “vanilla” ublock
- Comment on [Mental Outlaw] YouTube Accidentally Made Ad Blockers More Powerful 6 months ago:
I wonder how true that is for the average user
My father disabled ublock because it didn’t let him use YouTube. I sent hima tutorial on how to update the list and purge the cache but it was too much work for him
- Comment on They won't teach you this in Drivers Ed 6 months ago:
We need to test a vehicle on a dynamometer and to get the transmission into dyno mode it was something like that, press brake 3 times, press the button on the shift selector twice, move to neutral then reverse 3 times, etc, it was a super long combo. It was so satisfying to see the CAN message that we entered test mode
- Comment on Netflix is planning to raise prices… again 7 months ago:
No it doesn’t. At most it shows what channel produces the show you are watching and when to expect more episodes, and it takes less than 5 seconds
- Comment on Vodafone Finds Brits Keep Mobile Phones for 4 Years Instead of 2 9 months ago:
I’ve been upgrading every two years because usually they have some promo for trade ins (Samsung) so I’m getting a new battery and warranty (and slight improvement of camera) for about $200
